Many appreciate its lightweight design and the included attachments, making cleaning more efficient. While some find the price to be a drawback, the overall performance and cordless convenience are highly praised. A few users noted that the dustbin fills quickly and the trigger mechanism could be improved.

Great vac for multiple floor types
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this for a few weeks now and really love it. We have 3 floor types we use it on: ceramic tile, hardwood, large and small area rugs and it does very well on all of them. Especially like the ability to hang the charger and unit on a wall to save space. Pros: power, visible power display, flexibility with all the attachments / combinations, clear container, and cordless use. The trigger on/off is very handy on rugs in particular, if you get brush hung up on something just release the trigger! Cons: expensive (for sure), trigger is nice but I find it hurts my finger after a bit, inability for unit to "free stand" when in use, requiring it to be laid on floor or furniture. We would buy again, as well as recommend to our friends.

Overall great but get the plan because they break
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Props for portability and not as heavy as I thought a battery operated vacuum would be. It does carpet and heavy rugs well. Like most vacuums it kicks about 10% of cat litter behind it so you have to make a few passes to make sure you get it all. Our first one of this model (V11) went buggy after maybe a year and stopped working. We had the plan so got it replaced. The second one the trigger mech broke after 2 months and it wouldn't stop running after letting go of the trigger until you hit it on the butt. So we returned it and bought a V15.

Pricey but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with pet hair in mind. I have a Great Pyrenees mix, so everyday it looked like it had snowed in my house when I came home. Dust mops and brooms weren't doing the trick. I had borrowed an older Dyson corded vacuum, and although it did a fantastic job, it was bulky and the cord was kind of a hassle. I couldn't get it around furniture easily. When this arrived, I assembled it and 10 minutes later, my whole house was vacuumed. This thing is amazing! Emptying the canister is a breeze. I love how it automatically switches suction between floor types too. I have hard wood throughout the house and a fairly thick carpet in the bedrooms. I could tell immediately that it did a great job on the hard wood, but the carpets weren't so obvious, so I went over them once with the V11, emptying the container a couple of times. Then I followed with the corded vac, and it picked up nothing more. I was super happy. I also have a fairly low sitting entertainment center. I couldn't quite reach the back of it with the V11, but when I put it in boost mode, the dust bunnies ran to it. Love it! I've read reviews that complain about having to hold the trigger. This is not a problem for me, there's absolutely no tension and it just feels like you're holding the handle. This feature has also come in handy. If I see something I don't want to suck into the power head, like the end of my phone charging cord, I can just release the trigger. No fumbling for an off switch.

Dyson v12
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this vacuum!! Picks up everything off the floor. Love all the attachments that come with the vacuum. Supper light weight and easy to use. The trigger on the vacuum sometimes does hurt after awhile of using. But over all love it!

Great for small/medium homes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previously owned a Dyson animal ball that didn't last very long due to the way the hose was so I decided to try this battery powered one. Makes using the attachments easier. Auto setting is great from wood floor to tile to carpet. works on thick and short carpet with no issues so far. Turbo setting pulled way more dirt out of the carpet than the animal ball ever did. Couch attachment is easy to use and works great for home/vehicles. Battery life is okay depending on the task your doing. If you have alot of carpet in the home it may take more than one charge to complete. The only issue I have had with mine so far is with the trigger. Sometimes it just stops working for a second and then starts right back up again. Completely random.

Never had a Dyson and was wondering what the big w
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes this cordless vacuum is expensive. Previous versions were not worth it either. They all had abysmal battery life so they were practically useless. I'm happy to say the battery power on version 11 is amazing. I can clean my whole house that has upstairs carpet and downstairs tile and still have power left over. Suction power is awesome and has three settings. Rarley do I ever need to use the Mac setting. The normal settings work for most all applications. Only bad thing I can say about this is that there is no way to have the vacuum stay on without holding down the trigger. It was seriously a head scratcher why they would do this. Having to hold the trigger pressed in the whole time is very lame. Still though this vacuum is finally worthy of the price and name. Do not buy previous versions no matter how cheap or else you will get a vacuum that lasts 10 mins or less. With this one standard mode lasts 40 minutes.

good vac
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent suction, easy to clean, dog hair does not stick to the roller, hangs on wall well. Motor end is heavier than our last cheaper vac, but, well, this is a much better vac. Biggest issue is the trigger, you have to hold it continuously and it does get irritating. Only reason for 4 star rating overall

Light but powerful, will never go back to plug in
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picks up more dust than our old plug in. Light but very powerful. I wish it had a constant ON button or lock mechanism so you don't always have to hold down the trigger to work it.

Wanted this for a long time.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have wanted to get a Dyson for a really long time. So far, I am not disappointed with my purchase. Only thing that I am not 100% in love with is the trigger is the only way to operate the vacuum. I would like to have another option to turn it on and let it go.

Yes. Hands down.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man. I love this vacuum. People around me always raved about their Dyson vacuum (we have boring lives). I didn't believe the hype. Until now. This thing is a game changer. Here's why. The V11 hasn't changed much in design from the V10. You still have the point and shoot emptying of the dust bin. It looks sleek especially with that nickel and blue look. The finger trigger. I just really like the design. It also comes with a LCD screen that displays battery life in real time. It's freaking nice. You can also change cleaning modes (Eco, Auto, or Boost). Auto is what they recommend. Boost is if you need some super powerful suction. This thing cleans like a monster. Bear in mind, that I vacuum the floor often. I just gave the vacuum a test run through my carpet. I had no idea there was that much dust in there...This thing's suction is off the chart. It beats all of the wall-plug vacuums that I have. The torque drive also is different from the V10 Absolute in that there is only one cleaning head and no soft roller head for hardwood which may be disappointing to some. They compensate by having advanced floor sensing technology to adjust the brushroll based on the type of floor. It takes about 4 hours to charge up the whole thing after it's out of battery. One charge will run you about 60 minutes on hardwood on Auto function. My only criticism of this machine is the trigger. I actually don't mind the trigger too much. It turns on with the slightest of pressure. However, I really wish they would have an on switch. My grandma tried using this vacuum and her arthritis really made it difficult for her. Other than that, this vacuum is a monster.

Dyson
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good sweeper. Dyson is high quality. One negative issue is you have to hold the trigger while using it. It would be better it it had a lock.

Great vacuum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive, but very effective. Main concern is having to keep trigger squeezed. For that much money, a switch could have been developed.

Horrible vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY!!! Vacuum keeps cutting out. Dyeing support is awful. First time I called they insisted it was the battery even though I repeatedly told them the trigger was sticking. Of course the new battery didn’t fix the problem and now I am holding for 20+ minutes again just to speak with someone.

Broke after 5 months
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The trigger won't stop going off even after I let go of it. The trigger needed to be pulled out and held there for it to not start sucking. Waste of 500$!

Trigger issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me say this is an amazing vacuum. The suction is better than any other vac I’ve ever owned. It’s easy to use and makes cleaning quicker- so I can move on to better things. BUT! The trigger setup is not working. I got mine for Mother’s Day 2019. The trigger broke, leaving the unit w o power after one month. The store gave us a new one. Then a few months later. The same issue. We had to send it away to be cleaned. Now I’m on my 4th time sending the unit to be fixed. I’ve had to purchase a second vacuum ( not a Dyson) so I can clean while the unit is being cleaned. The issue is the trigger. They need to make an on off button and get rid of the trigger- and just fix the known issue. We spent 700 dollars on the unit then another large sum for the insurance. I’m extremely disappointed in this purchase and sincerely wish we hadn’t gone with a Dyson.

Posted .Hi Karen, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're happy to hear how pleased you've been, overall, with your V11 Torque Drive cord-free vacuum. We speak to our owners frequently and they tell us that cordless vacuums have changed the way they clean. We hear they clean more often, but in shorter bursts, spending less than 20 minutes per clean. It sounds unusual to hear that you've encountered so many issues with the trigger on your machine. We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use. We wouldn't, however, expect the issue you're having to occur. As a reminder, while we don't expect any issues to occur, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 2-year guarantee. We would value the opportunity to assist you, to help ensure your Dyson is working properly. Please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected]. We are keen on providing you with support and learning more about your experience.

Not a Durable Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The trigger no longer works after a year and half of use. The trigger is a design flaw that needs to be corrected. No excuse on a 700 dollar vac. To give Dyson a fair shake, I was curious if this was a one off and I had just been unlucky. Nope. The issue is common. Google it.
