My only complaint is I would have liked a button to lock the trigger and keep it on when using. Other than that, it works great, even with all the dog hair we vacuum.

I just purchased a house and wanted a new vac. I was looking at the Shark whatever as it did great in demonstrations. But the V11 did great too. I was worried about the battery life as my house is 1920sqft. BUT, I can literally vac the whole house in one go. Oh that’s not the best part. This vacuum is seriously powerful. My carpets are seriously CLEAN! Give this a try for 2 weeks. Being wireless are awesome too! And it’s not to heavy.

Wanted to love the V11, but will buy another V8

I have a V7 & a V8 and they make my life easier. Reviews talked about the weight and balance issues. I bought one anyway to see if my hands, damaged by a deployed air bag in a car crash, could handle it. Yes, slightly heavier than the V8, and the balance was different, but I probably could have adjusted. The deal breaker, however, was the unpleasant vibration! I ended up needing 2 hands to hold the V11. I did my house with both the V11 and the V8. Yes the V11 has much more suction, but the V8 was much easier to handle. I returned the V11 and will buy another V8.

I can confirm, our cordless units are among our lightest offering to date with Dyson V11™ vacuums weighing in at about 6.68 lbs. The high torque cleaner head is designed to work across all floor types eliminating the need for two cleaner heads. It features stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments to capture dust from bare floors. The high torque cleaner will automatically sense and adapt to changes in the floor type so that the right amount of suction is provided. You will not get the same benefits with the soft roller cleaner head. You may, as you mentioned, find that you have more vibration while vacuuming, especially on bare floors, with this model.

Not as great as I thought it would be- a bit heavy and tiresome holding down the trigger, plus run time on default is less than expected. The trade-off is that it is very powerful at sucking up dust.
