Worked great until the return date and then it QUIT. Dyson says it will take up to 12 weeks to get a replacement part! Not what I expected from Dyson.

Battery after a month has been cut in half. At this time I do not recommend this product. I’m going to try an exchange and see how the second one works.

My initial impressions of this Dyson product were mostly positive during the first week of usage. This is a powerful unit that works well on carpets and wood floors alike. But, having also owned a V7 unit, I must say that the V11 is not necessarily superior to the smaller and older unit. The V11 is huge - whereas the V7 had the debris canister mounted vertically to the handle which resulted in a compact design, the V11 adds huge horizontal space that makes the entire vacuum rather bulky - not a problem if you are going to use this to replace and upright vacuum, but in smaller uses like vacuuming cars, the V11 is nearly impossible to use effectively; the V7 is vastly superior in tight application uses. The smaller and lighter construction of the V7 just makes the V7 better to use if you are looking for a lightweight, portable cordless unit. During the first week of usage of the V11, I found it to be less likely to clog than the V7, but this was simply not a real world attribute as the more I used the V11, the more likely it was to clog and start to show intermittent starts and stops. Once again in overall daily usage, the V7 clogs somewhat, but not nearly as frustrating to use as the V11. I also found the V7 clog issues to be more easily resolved than those of the V11 which was becoming frustrating to use even though it has an indicator on the top of the unit that tells you where the clog is. I couldn't trust this as it often said the unit needed to be dumped even though it had just been dumped. Buy the V7 and save some money if you can; the V11 is good, but it is not better.

Dyson V11 is surely one incredible vacuum cleaner with a lot of features its almost overwhelming which is not a bad thing at all. Each time Dyson releases a new product there are major improvements over all over competition there is. First I like to start by saying that the v11 is a learns that always improves performance with use, So over time it learns more and more about your cleaning habits. After it is calibrated, the run time of the V11 battery will change when on hard floors or carpet on the amount of power needed for the cleaning. The best feature of this one hand vacuum is that its "intelligent." and it's pretty neat if you ask me. It takes a few times to use it before it starts to learn but once it does oh boy you in for some good battery life. LED is real time and will show you much more accurate battery life. More accurate than any other as I ever used before. Setting up is easy enough as there is a lot of parts within the box itself but it doesn't take long to put together, Plugging it in takes about 3-4 hours for the v11 to fully charge to 100%. They say the High Torque cleaner head features Dyson Dynamic Load Sensor (Dyson DLS.) I'm not sure what all of this means but what I can tell you that this Dyson is POWERFUL. The suction of this thing is insane picking out dirt from my carpet NO other vac has ever done before. Pet hair? Gone instantly in corners, Dirt & salt? was swept up in an instant from being nowhere near close to the vac, and Crumbs from children didn't stand a chance. The v11 claims to be 125,000rpm and I'm here to tell you that this could be the most accurate fact. I have never held or felt something of the speed of the vac in hand. It literary picks up everything if you let it. Stiff and strong well-made bristles hit every type of floor cleaning extremely well. This combined with the fact that the v11 has ease of movement with one hand is amazing. This is the only one you would ever need. There are 3 types of modes here: Auto: Learns and clean based on your floors between carpet and hard floors. The mode I mostly use for everyday task since I had it. This is the "set it and forget it" mode. It adapts well from hardwood floors to carpet pretty fast. this mode also uses the battery life normally. Eco: For longer runtime of the battery life of the v11 so you can keep cleaning without plugging it in so often. Also for larger households and spaces so you can ensure things get clean. Boost: This is a super fast and powerful suction but will kill battery life faster. I find this mode works well when you are using the vav to clean out things in your car. The Tools and accessories that Dyson v11 have is the classic High Toqure cleaning head, Mini soft brush, Combination tool, Crevice tool, Stiff Bristle brush, and a Mini motorize tool. So every type of space can be reachable no matter what awkward space you are cleaning. Other features are within the v11 such as a filtration system, Power-saving trigger, and easy cleaning/maintenance only adds to an easy cleaning experience and I have to say a vac like this is suppose to make your life easier not add to the frustration. Dyson hit the nail on the head with this aspect with the v11, and listen to feedback giving us an intelligent vacuum we really wanted. Something I think most other manufactures miss or will never understand. The build of Dyson v11 screams of quality. Not a loose part or anything on this feels flimsy. I've always said that Dyson is the "Lamborghini" of vacuum cleaners. It's the attention to every single detail they give the vac that stands out. The design is of Dyson signature stunning look but they just don't focus on this single aspect. Everything within is technology that works extremely great together not just "well." LCD I can't rave enough for having a real-time of the battery life so you just know when to charge. One of the best parts of all of this is the 2-year warranty Dyson puts on the v11. No, it's not as long as their 5-year warranty as I would like but it's still enough of ample time. As always Dyson customer service has always been nothing but awesome...You know treating me like an actual customer and helping (a problem Hoover always had.) Overall there is nothing that can beat this v11 in this class right now. in my opinion, this is one of the best vaccum I ever used besides the Dyson's Ball uprights. Nothing much to be said. Nothing much else left to say. it cleans like its suppose to and easy to use. Pricey yes, but when it is of this quality there is nothing that comes close and you are getting what you pay for. Dyson keeps up the good work. Perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

I have all wood floors. Suction is not that great I see myself going back and forth.

WE WERE TOLD THAT DYSON WAS ALWAYS THE BEST TO GET,.. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. HEAVY AND GAVE ME BLISTERS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

I bought this and it came used they didn’t tell me anything. The battery didn’t charge

The V11 cordless vac impresses in its power, consistency, and versatility. With a reliable design, construction, and customer support system, Dyson's latest machine may not replace your upright, but it overcomes some minor issues and is worth your investment into a top-of-the-line cordless option. Once unboxed, the first thing you need to do is plug in the battery, as it is recommended to charge the machine for 4.5 hours or to 100%, which you can track easily on the color display. While waiting during this downtime, you'll notice the numerous cleaner heads for all types of surfaces, including the main high-powered cleaner head and secondary, small rotating head, both of which I found myself using more than the others. These heads snap in place and are easy to remove and replace. The handheld itself is a little heavy for my taste, and prolonged usage does become a little bit of a burden. The dirt catcher has a clear indicator where the "MAX" amount of dirt should be emptied, and emptying the handheld takes a simple push of a small handle while over a trash can. I've yet to experience a case where I needed to reach in and pull dust balls and residue out manually like in other machines, so this is a plus. The filter resides at the back area of the handheld, and the box comes with easy instructions for periodic washing of this piece. The machine is not perfect. I had some issues with the main rotating cleaner head not spinning upon first use, and only after playing around with it without the vacuum tube was I able to get it going. However, after 8-10 tests, the rotating head has not had issues since then. Also, having to hold the power button on throughout usage is a little cumbersome. I would have liked either a click-on, constant "ON" option, or maybe even a timed on option that shut down after some pre-set time. As a result, carrying the vacuum for 10-15 minutes might be even more of a chore than vacuuming should be. Aside from these small issues, I really love this machine. The sucking power is amazing, and the versatility provided by the numerous head options can help you tackle all types of cleaning needs. This is definitely worth your investment into a Dyson cordless vac and an easy recommend.

Ever since the dustbusters I grew up with I've had both corded and cordless vacuums in my house. It used to lug the big corded vacuum out and that was the only way to give everything a proper clean and the cordless was fine for spot messes inbetween. The Dyson cordless vacuums in general really started to move the needle as far as what a cordless vacuum was capable of. This is my third and the previous two we both really good (better then some non-Dyson corded vacuums) and going after those trouble spots like under the kitchen table or the rug of the entry way. The features that make this a real difference is just how well it sucks up dirt from your carpet and rugs and then adjusts on the fly for the tile and wood floors. It also have enough battery power on one charge to get everywhere in a house less than 2000 sqft, I also love the redesigned bin release -- its the first Dyson that I haven't had to take completely apart whenever my wife uses it -- she always runs vacuums past the FULL line and I'm left trying to pull dog hair off the top of the filter. The way the bin release pushed all the pet hair and dust bunnies off the filter and down in to the waste basket is beyond awesome. This vacuum also features a LCD panel that explains what mode you're running and how much time you can run in that mode until battery is completely discharged. I don't really find this feature useful since you will undoubtedly be changing surfaces and power frequently as you work around the house and, at least in my preliminary cleaning, I didn't see this estimate get 'smart' about how I use it to give me a more accurate estimate based on my use instead of current power mode. I guess its a step up from not having any information but a % remaining makes more send to me then time. Ultimately, this vacuum is good enough that my corded Dyson cinetic will probably only come out the closet to make guest appearance.

This didn’t work at all, would barely pick up dust, I do not recommend this

I know I only received this yesterday, but where has this vacuum been all my life. It was so easy to assemble, I do not find it heavy to maneuver at all and it turns on a dime. I could not believe the amount of stuff it picked up. I had just used my old vacuum the day before and thought my floors were not that bad!!!!! Man was I surprised. I realize this is not a cheap expenditure but so far, (and yes I realize this had only been a one time use so far), it has exceeded my expectations. I find using the ECO setting is great for area rugs so that it does not try to suck them up. Dyson vacuums do have great suction and this was an issue with one of the older roller ball models I had a few years back. But they have definitely made improvements. I do not see why I would need any other vacuum to do my house. Changing the attachments is a breeze and emptying he canister is so easy. Overall so far I must admit if I remain this happy with this purchase then it was money well spent.

This is, hands down, the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. We have a short-hair dog that sheds constantly. The vacuum gets everything, and it automatically shifts from hard surface to carpet. The rotating head makes it easy to go around corners. The trigger is very light, so no cramping when holding it down. It's very lightweight, which makes it easy to use for long periods of time. It's a lot of money, but well worth it, especially if you have a dog. It empties easily by pushing down on. a lever.
