    this vacuum dissipates the anger I have at the fact that I don't have a central vacuum system in my house. It is so enjoyable to use that I can't imagine having anything else.

    I hate it! It does not pick up like it should. I can feel the dirt hitting my legs as it shoots it up in the back. I have taken it to Dyson & they can’t find anything wrong with it. It’s constantly clogged up & have to take apart. AND you have to keep the trigger squeezed while you vacuum. Hurts my hands. Very, very disappointing. My original vacuum was so good.

    Battery or switch problems

    We bought the best thinking it would last a long time. Loved the vacumn my wife used it everyday. Her daughter had one and higly recomended it. After about 6 months the switch would lose contact and it on for 2 seconds then off. Called Dyson the said repace battery. $45.00 same problem obviously switch. No switch, warrenty available. Just threw it out. N I othet products out there the same so ill probably buy another but with the 5 year service contracty. Oh by the way daughter had same exact problem, new battery and all

    Careful with the filter!

    This vacuum is great and worked well for the month or so that it worked. However, a few days ago my wife was vacuuming one night and the clean filter popped up. It showed to run it under the sink, but not how long to let it dry. She put it back on the next morning and tried to start the vacuum. Now it won't work at all. It'd been all night long... there is no way it was wet. The tiniest moisture at all will break this thing.

      Hello Quentin, this is Kelly with Dyson. All Dyson cord-free machines will include a washable filter, that should be washed once a month. Depending on several factors, a dry time of at least 24 hours is recommended, until the filter is completely dry. The introduction of any moisture in to the machine's cyclone or motor can cause the machine to malfunction.

    Go with Shark instead!

    This vacuum requires a lot of maintenance. It'll work grate for the first few months and after that stop working completely. The filter is the worst part of the vacuum. Its says to rinse and let dry for 24 hours. But every time I rinse mine it takes about 3 to 4 days for it to dry completely. So I have to sweep my carpets through out the house till the vacuum is ready to use (VERY INCONVENIENT). It also gets clogged very easily so make sure to pick up and medium to large pieces of trash before using. The ben that holds the trash gets stuck and is hard to open often. Lastly the brush roll stops randomly or just won't go at all. This vacuum was not worth $700 I paid for it ! Go with a Shark instead.

    Not design to be used as a household vacuum cleaner. the battery last long then the dirt hold. You have to empty it two or three time during use. If I had known that at the time of order I would have gotten the oversized one. Some what disappointed.

    Very Short Warranty for Cost

    Was a great vacuum until the trigger on it just decide not to spring back out during a normal vacuuming session. Had it for just over 2 years and it gave out conveniently after the warranty expired. I have to say, for $700 you'd expect more than just a 2 year warranty so be careful with the purchase. Reached out to Dyson and they want me to purchase parts instead of standing behind their products and covering it at no cost. By comparison a cheap Shark stick vac comes with a 5 year warranty. This is one of those cases that you DONT get what you pay for.

I can also confirm that Dyson has included a free 2-year guarantee on all of its products. Full sized vacuums also carried a free 2-year guarantee until ultimately being adjusted to a 5-year guarantee. That said, our fans, purifiers, cordless vacuums, hair care and lighting units will all still carry the same great 2-year guarantee, included with your new purchase at no additional cost.     Stopped working ...3 months after warranty expired

    Worked GREAT ...until 3 months AFTER the 2-year warranty expired. Troubleshooting by Dyson says the main unit (battery, motor, etc.) needs to be replaced. We really loved it while it lasted.

    Not As Good As They Say

    My husband just bought me this vaccuum as an early christmas present and I have to say I really hate it! First, it doesn't come with instructions on how to use it, plus it is very bulky, top-heavy, has small turn radius, and doesn't get up the fur our 14 cats, 6 ferrets, and 4 dogs leave on the carpets! I had a no name $200 vaccuum before this one that worked miracles when it came to the pet fur, but this one is just a flop all the way around. I haven't expressed this all to my husband (although I did chastise him for not getting me what i wanted--the same vaccuum I already had and loved) because I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I will be sure to make it clear NEVER to buy another Dyson..not worth the cost!!!

      The Dyson V11 cord-free vacuums are our most advanced machines to date. They feature twice the suction of any cord-free vacuum. You also have the benefit of whole-machine filtration, to prevent dust, allergens and bacteria from leading back into the air you breathe. The high torque cleaner head features a Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system, which automatically changes the motor speed for different floor types. This helps drive bristles deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt, and capture fine dust from hard floors and crevices.

      V11 also has our most powerful battery ever. The larger, high-capacity, nickle-colbalt aluminum cathodes in the lithium-ion battery help deliver 20% more power than the Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum. Innate system monitoring and altitude sensors measure battery capacity four times a second to optimize power to the Dyson digital motor V11 and the cleaner head.

      The V11 Torque Drive model has an advanced LCD screen display which monitors system performance 8,000 times a second, then reports back in real time. You'll receive notifications of blockages, have a real-time countdown mode alerting you to remaining battery life in the mode you're using, and you'll also see filter alerts, letting you know it's time to clean your filter. You also have the added benefit of three suction modes to choose from, to tackle any mess.

    Not a Durable Product

    The trigger no longer works after a year and half of use. The trigger is a design flaw that needs to be corrected. No excuse on a 700 dollar vac. To give Dyson a fair shake, I was curious if this was a one off and I had just been unlucky. Nope. The issue is common. Google it.

    Poor quality for the price

    Machine broke down with 1 month of warranty! Paid over $500 initially, now customer service wants another $100 to replace a part! Suboptimal quality and service- so overpriced compared to competitors. Stay away from these- your money better spent on another brand!

    Motor Head locks up

    We got our first unit from Best Buy a couple of days ago - and the "high torque" motor head came locked up. We called Dyson - they said they have no spare parts so just take it back. We went back to Best Buy - exchanged for a new one- and the motor head on that one is locked up too. Something is wrong.
