We can vacuum our 3000 sqft home and still have battery left.

I love the laser ! What I thought was a clean floor was not even close when I turned on the laser . It helps to see every spec of dust , lint , animal hair . So it feels good to see that’s it’s all gone after one pass! The bonus is the carpet attachment and upholstery too! Now all I need is one vacuum that does it all and superbly! Thanks Dyson for listening to what your customers want !

Cleans pretty good. It’s not excellent but it does get the job done. I love the light on it

I like this a lot. For a cordless it’s a good compromise between weight and run time (40mn) and the green light for hard floors is great. Haven’t had it long, and have to empty bin a lot as fill line is low.also not too loud.

I would like the battery to last longer, besides that I love it. Easy to handle and its not heavy. It just really needs to. last a bit longer without stopping to get it charged.

It didn't take long for me to realize that the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum was worth more that the 5-Star limit we are given to rate it. It is well worth 10 stars. As I unpacked it from its container, one of the very first things I noticed (besides the extraordinary care Dyson has taken to ensure environment-friendly packaging) was how light the vacuum is. It weighs in at a little over five pounds. However, nothing about it feels lightweight. The vacuum is made of durable materials that are very well put together. There is nothing about this product that is substandard or cheap...Dyson's longstanding heritage is quite evident. Since I have owned other Dyson products, assembly was a breeze. Each component is connected to the other using easy-to-use pushbutton connectors. To disconnect, simply press the red button, and disconnect...it's that easy. Before using for the first time, I opted to fully charge it. So I plugged it in, and left it overnight. In the meantime, I familiarized myself with each of the components, and what each one is designed for. The first head I used was the motorbar cleaner head. I have two large area rugs, and put the Dyson to the test right away. Dyson states the hair removal vanes clear long hair and pet hair from the brush bar while using. I don't know how it works, but it did indeed clear almost every single last pet hair from the brush bar. I was excited to see just how much pet hair the vacuum was removing from the carpet...after having already been vacuumed. I was impressed by the power of the suction, and the relative quietness of the vacuum. Past vacuums have been quite loud, and typically shoo the pets into different rooms. Not so with this one. This head works on both hardwood floors and carpets, and does an extraordinary job on both. Now, the Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head is the one I was most eager to check out. Until I started using it, that is. You see, I started in the hallway which was well lit, and made my way into the unused guest bedroom. I normally use a dustmop on the hardwood floors, and have always thought the dustmop did quite well. But as I entered the bedroom, I noticed that with the hallway light and the laser on the vacuum, there was no need to turn on the room lights. I was flabbergasted. The laser obliterated every thought I had about being a diligent house cleaner. The laser revealed a virtual wasteland of dust, dust bunnies, and pet hair. Like I said, I was flabbergasted. I live alone except for my pets, but I felt the pangs of anxiety as I began to rush to vacuum it all up before somebody happened to venture by and want to come inside. The Dyson picked EVERYTHING up, and it was easy to see where the vacuum had been. I decided to vacuum the entire house in relative darkness, and was equally dumbfounded in every room. I did have to empty the canister several times. As I was finishing the last room, the vacuum gave me a signal that it was down to its last five minutes. It was just enough to finish, and as I made my last pass, the vacuum shut off. This was after a little over 35 minutes of intense vacuuming. At this point I emptied the cannister, and put the vacuum on the charger. After I got home today, I wanted to test out the other attachments. First, the Hair Screw tool. In a nutshell, this is used for smaller areas, perhaps a welcome mat, or something similar. However, although it isn't mentioned in the literature, I discovered that you can actually use it to clean upholstery. Granted, you have to hold it at a certain angle, but it works great. It also works great on the welcome mats, and other smaller areas, like the kitty scratch post. The cleaning wand and other accessories worked exactly like they should. As I went around the baseboards, I noticed I wasn't getting as much suction as I would have liked. No problem. The Dyson has various settings so that the suction can be adjusted. When I switched it to high, there was a huge difference. I had no issues cleaning corners and other such places. Now, I could continue going on and on about how great the Dyson works, but I think you can tell by now that it is truly an amazing vacuum that delivers superior cleaning all around. The vacuum has a display that is designed to be in the line of sight and easy to read. It will tell you everything you need to know, from time left to shutdown, to blocked airways, particle counts, and so forth. One thing that really stands out is that it has a cleanable, reusable filter. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the filter must be completely dry before using the machine...for obvious reasons. PROS: Lightweight Easy to use Enough heads and attachments to get virtually any job done Downloadable User Manual that is filled with great information, and explanations on what everything does. Relatively quiet. OF COURSE THE LASER! Durable and sturdy construction Strong motor. Easy to clean! CONS: The vacuum cannot stand on its own, so you have to leave it propped up against something if you have to stop vacuuming. The need to screw screws into the wall if you want to not leave it propped up while not in use. The collection bin is just a tad smaller than I like. The Dyson V12, in my opinion, is the perfect addition to your cleaning equipment. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, including my friends and family.

Does the floor cleaning very well. I like the laser light to see the hair and dirt.
