I recently purchased the Dyson V12 and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. This cordless vacuum cleaner is a game-changer in terms of convenience and performance. Returned this vacuum shortly after I bought it. If you’re looking for a stick vacuum with little battery life and suction that leaves much to be desired, then sure, this expensive vacuum is for you. I purchased the Dyson Animal 3 extra and I love it! Leaps and bounds better than v12 or v15.

Con- battery dies pretty fast on highest power mode.

Im so disgusted how a $650 vacuum can start falling apart one month later after buying it? Dyson should be made better than that, or start lowering your prices.

Efficient machine and sturdy plastic…still heavier

I was very excited to get the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, especially since I have had such great experiences with other Dyson products. Packaging and assembly with a breeze pretty self explanatory. I was impressed from the start with how lite it was, which made is very convenient for the stairs in our house. It was easy enough for the kids to carry around and use too, which is always a plus! I found it fairly easy to use for over head tasks too. I liked that it only has a single button power control. The LCD screen is probably my favorite feature. It shows you what has been lifted on the different surfaces, it is clear and easy to understand. In fact at one point it wasn’t functioning properly and the LCD screen told me what the problem was right away and I was able to fix it right away. I love that I didn’t have to trouble shoot it and take the whole thing apart to figure out the problem. It came with some neat attachments, the fluffy yellow and purple roller that is perfect for our wooden and tile floors, it had no problem fitting under our dining table and coffee table, this saved me time from having to move the furniture around. It comes with a wall dock that provides a way to easily store all the components while charging it as well. It included a neat hair screw tool, the allows you to pick up pet hair making pet spaces easy and fast to keep clean. They have a new design on the motorbar which helps to detangle long hair, eliminating the need for me to take it apart to cut out tangled hair like I have had to with other vacuums. You can select from the three cleaning modes depending on what job you are tackling. The waste bin is super easy to empty, simply point it in the trash can and push the lever to release the dirt. It is quick and straight to the point and I didn’t have to tough anything so my hands never got dirty. I love that it gives you 60 minutes of charge unlike previous machines that gave my around 20 minutes, also I found that the battery did a great job of holding the charge even when it was not in use or plugged in. The only “con” I would say I found was that if you doing a bigger job like cleaning more that a few rooms at a time, you have to stop and empty out the bin more often perhaps because it is a smaller unit but if you don’t mind that it really isn’t an issue. I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends and family.

It’s way too small, dude. What a joke. My wife bought this for our 3500 sq. Ft. House. She had to empty it 7 times, and the battery died half way through. What a joke!!

Lightweight, easy to use and the power button is a welcome change to the older power trigger. The Dyson v12 is possibly Dyson's best cordless vacuum cleaner to date! As someone who has owned both the Dyson v15 Detect and Dyson v11 I'm genuinely surprised how much I like and enjoy using the new smaller, slimmer and lighter Dyson v12 Detect. I was expecting something less powerful and therefore less useful, but even though it has less maximum Air Watts (when on 'Boost' mode) it does a FANTASTIC job cleaning the carpets and floors... and quite honestly I don't see any difference between this and it's larger siblings. Another big bonus is Dyson have finally removed the uncomfortable power trigger found on the Dyson v15 & v11 replacing it with a more sensible power button. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: 1. It has a 0.35 litre bin which will need emptying more often. So it's best suited for smaller homes. 2. Like the Dyson v15 and v11, the Dyson v12 cannot be stood up independently. So if you need to move an object out of its path you will first need to put the v12 down. I’m disappointed!!! I paid full price, but received used and scratched a vacuum cleaner

Worked well, but the trash container is so small we had to empty it multiple times when we vacuumed. Returning it today to see if BBY carries Dyson regular Ball models. I think the cordless models are a little ahead of their time like electric cars. The battery doesn't last long enough unless you have tiny home.

I LOVE MY DYSON It could have a little more suction. It is easy to clean. 2nd one I've had. None other compare that I know of, tried a few other brands but didn't do the trick on dog hair, Dyson was the best. Love the light.

Not what I expected, for the high price the high cost of product warranty not worth it.

First and foremost, Dyson makes some of the best quality product out there. I have a desk fan, tower fan, the Omni Glide vacuum and now a V12 vacuum... I had other cordless battery powered vacuum prior and while they're functional and somewhat traditionally in appearance, they lack the appeal of a Dyson mounted on a wall. I could be much when it comes to having items that are aesthetically and minimally appealing at home. The power the V12 has is absolutely amazing and it's also very versatile on carpet and hardwood floors. It also comes with adapters for both types of floors and a pair of adapters for handheld usage. While the Omni glide is good for quick small debris on hardwood floor cleanup, this would be the opposite since it's more of a traditional vacuum. I've managed an average of 22-25 minutes of usage which is more than enough to clean my place which has mainly hard flooring on medium setting. I've noticed that it also auto adjusts power when it needs too. The monitor which tracks type of debris it picks up is a nice touch. It's also very easy to clean and maintain while not being too loud. The V12 definitely hits all the marks I would want in a sleek vacuum. It is very pricy, but I know I'll get my money's worth with the excellent built quality that comes with owning a Dyson. Thanks.
