Worked great when new. Now the roller does not always want to spin. Complete waste of $600

It's unacceptable to spend $750+tax on a product only to get something with light, but noticeable use. There are a few cosmetic scuffs on the unit and some dirt residue in the tank.

We tend to buy a Dyson every four or five years. Excellent machines. Lots of people have some negatives with them but a lot of that is them not caring for it (ie letting a year of dust and gunk build up in the canister). This is the greatest Dyson we’ve ever owned. Dyson battery life prior to this one has been… eh. The whole automatically adjusting based of the level of dirt means this thing will clean an entire home no problem. The down side, this thing is crazy expensive. Is it worth it? No. But if you want the best cordless vacuum then I’d venture to say you won’t touch this things performance.

After only 3 months already broken. What a waste of $700 dollars! Should have believed the Consumer Reports reviews. Thank God I bought the 5 year warranty.

Great suction power! I love my new vacuum. We owned the Dyson 8 and it worked great, but this one is just so much better. It is so cool how it can tell you how much dust and bacteria it accumulates. The attachments are way better, too. The battery power makes it easier to sweep and vacuum the whole house in one charge. Such a great addition to make cleaning a little easier.

I’m sorry I bought this because it’s too top heavy. I’ve hurt my shoulders and back using it. It’s too late to return it.

I have been a happy owner of a Dyson upright vacuum for many years but wanted something lighter weight and cordless with similar power and flexibility. Enter the V15. /// Unboxing - Environmentally Friendly One thing that I am super impressed by with Dyson products is the care they put into the packaging. There was not one single piece of plastic packaging - everything is made out of recyclable cardboard. I found two small pieces of tape to make sure some screws wouldn’t get lost, but that’s it. Everything else is intelligently designed where all the cardboard packaging holds the vacuum and accessories in place. /// Modular Design The V15 Detect is a modular system where there’s the main vacuum itself which you will use with the numerous accessories and cleaning heads. There are two main, large cleaning heads, and then another smaller cleaning head which they call a “Dyson Hair Tool”. There’s also an extension tube, a narrow nozzle, and 3 different sized smaller static heads with brushes on the end of each one. /// Cleaning Heads The two large cleaning heads are meant for hard floors vs carpeted. The cleaning head for hard floors is what I think they call a “Laser Slim Fluffy” cleaning head. It has lasers! All kidding aside, the laser works really well in illuminating small dust particles on your floor that you may not see with the naked eye. Not a gimmick! The other large cleaning head is meant for carpeted surfaces and they call this one the “High Torque” cleaner head. This head has a toggle switch on the front of it which allows you to pick up smaller vs heavier particles. The smaller cleaning head they call the “Dyson Hair Tool” was great for cleaning fabric furniture easily being able to pick up any hair. /// POWER Being a cordless vacuum, it may not have as much power as a corded device but the V15 is very powerful. The real test is using the large cleaning head on heavy carpet and it works great. It doesn’t get bogged down and picks up debris you didn’t realize was even there. It has 3 power modes to choose from depending on your choice of suction vs battery life and you’ll choose the mode with a button on the top of the unit and it’s indicated on the bright LCD screen. The Eco setting which is the most battery efficient is *incredibly* quiet while still being able to collect quite a bit of debris. The medium setting is what I use the most and this works well in most situations. The high setting is very powerful but also creates the most noise but it is indeed vey powerful. What’s great about all these modes is that it gives you an estimated runtime when you select a mode. Also on that LCD screen is a display of the size of the debris particles it picks up. /// Wrap-Up The nice thing about the modular design combined with the cordless functionality is that this vacuum can not only clean your entire house but you can then use it to go clean your car, boat, or camper. Don’t let the “cordless” fool you into thinking this may not be able to clean properly - it’s a very powerful, intelligently designed device that I highly recommend.

Worst product waste of money. Not even charging properly

I’ve never had so much fun vacuuming in my life! The laser soft roller attachment is awesome. I like to vacuum at night with all the lights turned off so I can see every bit of dirt and pet hair and watch them all disappear. I was hesitant on buying this at first since it’s pretty pricey but man am I glad I did. Worth it! High quality dust cleaning machine.

very powerful vacuum, easy to use and assemble, work well in carpet and floor

Stopped working after 20 days now having to deal with dyson and it is literally the worst and of course Best Buy doesn’t help

Awesome vacuum, I've been part of the Dyson family for years. Super handy, great weight and cleans up perfectly.

Super convenient and powerful enough for most cleaning. We break out the upright vacuum for monthly vacuuming, but this does a wonderful job for the day to day.

No doubt, the best vacuum I’ve ever had! I vacuum my home three times a day because I love this vacuum so much, and am so intrigued to see what it says comes out of my carpet. Best purchase ever. I would 100% recommend and will buy a dyson cordless again.

This has been the BEST vacuum ever. I have an indoor husky & 2 small children & this thing keeps my house in immaculate condition. Dumping is frequent, but it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I love Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners but every year they make a new model and the product is increasingly cheaper, the plastic parts are increasingly cheaper. The product only lasts no more than 2 years, after that the parts start to break or there is a problem charging the battery. I recommend buying additional insurance on top of the 2-year warranty.

For the most part this vacuum has been wonderful and very efficient. The only problem I've had is it gets plugged up easily and I have to take it apart and manually clean the area that's plugged. It's suppose to be best for animal hair but that's what plugs it up. I would have given it a five but that problem is very frustrating and now that I've had it 2 years and 4 months the roller quit working on the brush attachment.

At this price for a vacuum you would expect nothing less than 5 stars and this vacuum does not disappoint. I can tell it gets a lot deeper into the carpet than my old corded vacuum and it is super cool you get to see what it is sucking up. I also love the hard floor attachment, the laser actually helps make a lot more dust and hair visible to clean. I would say this vacuums only down side is the battery life. It works just fine right now for my 1 bedroom apartment but if you have multiple rooms you are going to want an extra battery because charging can take awhile. Overall I love this vacuum and will continue to use it consistently.
