My expectations were high which I think is acceptable. To spend $800 on a vacuum, I would think there should be expectations that this machine will work better than cheaper models with similar features. After using the v15 for the first time, I was shocked at how little it picked up of my floors. Mind you, I vacuum every other day with an old Shark upright vacuum. That Shark vacuum that barely works picks up more than the Dyson v15 did. That would almost lead me to believe I’m using this Dyson wrong. The v15 is pretty straightforward. More than likely, if I don’t see some sort of improvement with this Dyson v15, I’ll be returning it to buy a vacuum that cost half the price. Also, the v15 is horrible with picking up anything along the edge of walls. The cheap vacuum I use at work does a better job at edges than the Dyson v15. It’s actually pretty sad. I expected so much more.
