Battery life is so much better compared to my previous v11 vacuum, and were able to clean the entire house without recharging. Our floors look great

We have a Dyson V8 animal and we wanted more run time and larger storage. This was a very expensive purchase for us! However, after experiencing and having dealt with Dyson customer support on their blow dryer and a room heater and that being amongst the smoothest easiest exchange/repair experience EVER I now see why the cost is justifiable. If you’re considering it I would say just do it. We researched all models, sizes and other brand and jumped at this one for Black Friday and some of its features are super impressive and surprising.

Performs poorly on carpet

After less than 6 months of use, our carpet is nowhere as clean as when we use our Dyson Animal. I've had to clean the carpets 2-3 times as often and they still are not as clean. We just bought another Animal to use on the carpet. If you want a vaccum for hard floors, this one is fine, but don't waste your money if you need a vaccum for carpet.

It’s easy to carry up and down stairs and quick when you see a spider. I have hardwood floors and thick carpet. Works good on rugs and hardwood floors but a challenge to use on thick carpet

The Dyson picks up more dirt and HAIR vs. Shark Navigator. And getting it for 300 made it well worth it compared to full price 850. Best Buy always comes through
