THE BREAKDOWN: This Dyson – V15 Detect Extra Cordless Vacuum is simply amazing. It has a ton of power and the tools to do almost any job you need. You can even buy a few more extra pieces if you find that you need another specialized tool. Getting this vacuum setup and ready to use was very simple. It felt like Christmas when open the box because there were to many parts and pieces to unwrap. Included with this vacuum are the wand, docking station, charger, combination tool, hair screw tool, reach under tool, light pipe crevice tool, wand clip, digital motorbar cleaner head, fluffy Optic cleaner head, and owner’s manual. Once this was charged, I took it over the area where my dogs hang out and started sweeping. I normally must do 2 to 3 passes to get all the hair. This time it actually got all the hair with one pass. I even took the long tube off and put the screw tool directly under the tool and vacuumed my stairs. Not only did the hair not wrap around it took almost all of the dog hair off my carpeted stairs. I used the fluffy optic on the rest of my hardwood floors which worked amazing, and I love the light. I even took the blind cleaning attachment and cleaned my blinds, and it worked like a charm. The suction on this vacuum is amazing. The battery only lasts about 15 minutes on max power and around 45-60 minutes on auto. I didn’t find myself really needing max power and found that leaving it on auto worked well for me. I love the power trigger on this vacuum, it almost feels as if it was a light saber when you use it. Emptying the vacuum is extremely easy. I don’t feel like the rubber that is around the screen inside is tight enough to get all the debris in the container and I found myself trying to clean the top part once you open the container to empty it. PRO’s: - Easy to get up and running - Amazing suction power - Converts to a handheld - A ton of attachments CON’s: - None SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for a product like this.

This Dyson vacuum is amazing! It’s super lightweight, easy to maneuver, and the suction power is incredible. It picks up everything—from pet hair to fine dust—with no problem. The battery life is great for quick cleanups and even full-room sessions. I love how easy it is to empty and switch attachments. Definitely one of my favorite home purchases!

Let me start by saying — I never thought I’d get excited about vacuuming. But the Dyson V15 Detect Extra has completely changed the game for me. I had NO idea how much dust and tiny crumbs were hiding in plain sight until I saw it all glowing like stars under a microscope. It’s weirdly satisfying – like vacuuming turned into a treasure hunt. It picked up stuff I didn’t even know was there – pet hair, fine dust, glitter (don’t ask ), and even that mysterious grit that always ends up under the couch. The auto-adjust feature is smart too – it figures out what surface you're on and does the work for you. I didn’t have to press a single extra button. What I also love is how lightweight and cordless it is. No more dragging heavy machines or tripping over cords. It’s quiet, sleek, and charges fast – I can clean the whole house in one go without breaking a sweat. And did I mention the LCD screen? It literally tells you how much dirt it's picking up in real-time. I feel like Iron Man looking at my cleaning stats. No where near the v10 pet vacuum. Had to replace the v10 because it wouldn’t turn on and boy do I regret upgrading

This rechargeable vacuum actually performs better than our old Dyson Ball drag around vacuum. The bare floor head is fantastic with the special green light that shows dust, hair and small bits in the kitchen. You can literally see that hardwood floors are clean. The regular rug attachment has a height adjustment that allows a bit of air to be pulled in so that the head is not sucked down onto some carpet surfaces. Battery run time is fantastic - I'm more than tired and ready for a break anyway if I have been using the vacuum for 30-40 minutes. Using it in Auto mode prolongs battery life and maximizes cleaning power for each situation. Remember to clean the small filter at the top of the vacuum from time to time as this will eventually be filled with dust and will reduce suction power. The filter can be washed with tap water (long dry time) or I use a shop vac hose to very quickly clean the filter in seconds and put it back to work. Dumping the dirt etc from this unit is very easily done and works exceptionally well. I don't have to use small tools to get all of the stuff out and that means I stay away from some nasty dirt. If for some reason the dirt basket area has to be cleaned by hand there is a simple button release that allows opening the unit and easily wiping, brushing all material out and then slide back together to return to service. Weight is good and well balanced. This is not a "light" vacuum but it is easily handled by a 70 year old woman of average build and strength so it is easy to use. Without question this is the best vacuum we have ever owned and is the best performing. Carefully compare actual vacuum specifications of this unit with lower cost comparable units from other sources - you will see that this is a very capable unit and is not a light weight hand vacuum.

Its great when it works and much powerful than previous ones but smaller than current gen 5 one. This might be the last dyson i will buy if they make everything big on new ones... motor head works well and can see dusts well with green line. This can be con because you will see so much dust

The weight is perfect and easy to move around. It is so much quieter than previous models, my cats don't run away when I turn this on. The light on the head really shows how dirty the floor is, to the naked eye the floor looks clean! it has a timer on it so you know how much battery life is left, I love this feature! It is also super easy to empty. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. A clean house is worth every penny spent for this wonderful machine!

Super easy to use and great for hard wood floors or anything that’s not carpet. It’s pretty powerful for a cordless vacuum and has 3 modes to pick from. I typically use the boost mode and cover a lot of ground without using much battery. All the attachments are nice too .

Very powerful, quiet, and easy to empty. I was skeptical about the self adjusting suction level at first but it does the trick and maximizes the battery life. I rarely ever pull out my full size upright Dyson anymore since getting one of these and decided to get a second unit so I have one handy upstairs and downstairs. Also gave one to mom for Christmas and she appreciates the lightweight design as it is less strain on her neck and shoulder.

Dyson V15 Detect Review After using the Dyson V15 Detect for a few years, I can confidently say it lives up to the hype. I love the laser dust detection. It’s both satisfying and mildly horrifying. The suction power is impressive. Whether it’s pet hair, crumbs, or fine dust, the V15 handles it without a hitch. The Piezo sensor that counts particles feels a bit gimmicky at first, but over time, it became a helpful tool to know when an area is truly clean. Battery life is great! I get around 45 to 60 minutes on Eco mode, which is more than enough for a full-house clean. On Boost mode, it does drain faster, but the performance is excellent. The design is sleek, and the attachments are thoughtfully made. The anti-tangle hair screw tool is a win, especially for pet owners. It’s also relatively easy to empty and clean. Pros: Powerful suction, Great for both carpets and hard floors, Smart display and particle count feedback, Versatile attachments Cons: Expensive, A bit top-heavy for long sessions, Battery not removable without tools If you're serious about cleanliness and want high-tech features that actually make a difference, the Dyson V15 Detect is worth the investment. Yes, the asking price is STEEP, but once you own it and use it, you won’t question your decision. This vacuum is incredible. It’s so quick and easy to use. Snatch it off the charging base and press the trigger. It eliminates all the small barriers to entry that prevent you from cleaning--pulling the vacuum out of a closet, plugging it in, wrapping the cable up when you’re done, etc. Are these first world problems? Absolutely. But, it’s the difference between me wanting to clean and not wanting to. That’s what’s so incredible about the Dyson. It makes me want to clean. Doesn’t matter if it’s the floor of my car or my hard woods in our living space or the carpet in our bedrooms or the patio rug. I just grab and go. The defect functionality is also a game changer. Ever see those videos of people deep carpet cleaning a nasty rug, or the videos of people power washing a nasty driveway? It’s ultra satisfying to watch the filth magically go away. That’s what the defect is like. At first, you can’t see any dust or debris on the ground. Then, you turn the vacuum on. All of a sudden, you see crud everywhere! With one pass, the Dyson sucks up everything. It’s amazing. We own a Roomba too. However, the defect reveals tons of stuff the Roomba didn’t pick up even immediately after the Roomba finished a cycle. And it’s not like I have an old Roomba. It’s a higher end model from just 2 years ago. Just goes to show how the Dyson outshines other vacuums—both our Roomba and our old traditional vacuum. Now, I hardly go more than a day without vacuuming in the house, whereas I literally used to go weeks, if not months, without vacuuming. So, yes, just buy it. It’s worth it, especially since they’re almost always on sale (though, even then it is still expensive).

I was skeptical about buying a whole house cordless vacuum. I just didn't think it would have the suction to get the job done to my satisfaction. Boy was I wrong! This Dyson has a tremendous amount of suction and is extremely lightweight and easy to maneuver. It comes with several very hand attachments and you can even purchase more attachments aftermarket for the vacuum. The brushroll head did a tremendous job vacuuming my carpet. The vacuum was actually hard to lift up while it was running telling me the brush roll was really engaged and it had great suction. The soft roll head for vacuuming hard wood floors does an equally good job and is almost embarrassing to use. The green laser on the front illuminates every single speck of dust, dirt and pet hair on the floor and usually with one single pass, it's all gone. We have two dogs and a cat so pet hair is a real problem in our house. My dog and I have a favorite chair with a leather like surface and it's always littered with her hair as she sheds really bad. The screw tool attachment that's designed for picking up pet hair works like magic! I have never used anything as effective as this for picking up my dog's pet hair. It works better than a lint roller on this chair. I simply cannot recommend this vacuum highly enough. Yes, it's expensive, but it's well worth the money! I am very, very pleased with mine and would rate it 6 stars if I could!

This dyson has a light, it has a bunch of connections, and the battery lasts longer. I won’t lie it is definitely heavier, but it is worth it. The suction is strong. I have used this to clean my stairs, my floors, my couch, my bathroom, my kitchen, even my car. If you have been using vacuum cleaners that have to be plugged into the wall, once you get this you will NEVER look back. It may be a bit pricey, but it is worth every single penny.

I purchased this Dyson V 15 detect two months ago I owned the original Dyson ball several years ago as well as the original. Dyson was a good vacuum. It was very heavy and Cumbus some to get around. I find the V5 as much more powerful as way more suction and is a lot lighter because it’s a cordless. The Dyson V5 also sports some great features that you don’t normally see on the vacuum one of them being a green laser light on the hardwood floor attachment that makes it very easy to see dust that you would not normally see with your eye I’m very happy I decided on the Dyson V 15 I feel it’s worth every penny I paid

My first Dyson, I was nervous, they are pricey, but they are good. This is a great vacuum and the green light feature that shows you where the dust is - awesome! I thought I was doing a good job before but this vacuum shows me the dirty truth! It highlights the area you are working in so you can see what is there so you can be as thorough as you want. The battery life on the highest setting is under an hour, but that's enough to do the whole house. It's lightweight for the most part which is nice. The cordless nature is amazing.. no more lugging the cord around from area to area, now I can get the vacuuming done in half the time I used to! This is a great tool. I cant speak to its longevity as it has only been 2 months.

So far I am keeping it but am not 100% I do really like cordless vacuums just have not found the perfect one yet. Pros: it has decent suction for a cordless. The light feature is nice but also a little stressful to see the dust lol Con: This is the reason I might return if I do. The weight and having to hold it on the whole time. They all do this but since this one is a little heavier it hurts my fingers and hand after a bit and I have a small house. I have joint issues so a normal person may not have an issue with this. If I had a larger house it would be a no go. While I said the suction is decent it is still not comparable to a plugged one I think. I feel like I vacuum and it shows no dust and then a second later when I go over it is dusty again. I think it just comes back from the house but the light makes me see it when I would not have otherwise. Making it feel like it will never be clean. All in all it is ok and the convenience is super nice. So will see. I am saying yes I would recommend because there is no maybe. I am torn if I would. If someone is ok gripping for a while then yes if not then no if someone has an older dustier house it might not be the best. If someone struggles with OCD type feeling of wanting everything picked up this might not be the one OR maybe that would be helpful.

This vacuum is awesome. You can see the dirt on the ground with the laser. The bin is big and easy to empty. Speed variable based on the dirt being cleaned. Super strong suction and is picking up more than our old Dyson ball vac. Great battery life. The one big con is that it is so good we can't stop using it so we are now cleaning all day. Thanks Dyson. In all seriousness the only real downside of this thing is that it is a little big for tight spaces like the car. We love it.

Lightweight, easy to use, great suction, lots of attachments. I love this vacuum, especially the head with the laser that detects dust and hair. I live in a pet house and this powers through no issues. The one thing I wish is that that battery life was longer than 45 minutes, but that doesn't bother me a whole lot.
