I bought three more as Christmas gifts. My niece texted "This vacuum really sucks" ;-) Her family has two cats and she couldn't believe how much fur came out of the carpet. I had the same experience with mine. Best vac ever!!

I love the way this vacuum picks up pet hair and is easy to manipulate. It runs quieter than my previous vacuum. The run time allowed me to finish all of my rooms without having to recharge.

Obsessed woth thisn the laser light makes it so easy to see dust particles and clean your home sptolessly. I own everything dyson, for hair , for floor, for work for it all and this brand is entirely unbeatable

Ive been a Dyson fan for many years, but this Dyson V15 Detect Extra is very disappointing. The suction is so minimal it doesnt even pick up a small, dead, dried up plant leaf! The detect head is pretty cool and it does make it easy to see where you have vacuumed, and is great for low light areas, so i love that function. But for the price, it should have better suction. Its also not good at all on carpet. It is very difficult to push/pull on carpet and again, the suction is severely lacking. If you have a lot of carpet, DO NOT buy this. Luckily, I have mostly hard floors. In summary, this vacuum does not meet the old Dyson high standards and is way overpriced.

I really like it but I wish the suction on the normal and eco modes were stronger. The boost mode is great but the battery doesn’t last as long on those settings.

10 months in and it works sporadically . It’s under warranty BUT Dyson does not have the part in so I will have to wait up to 8 months to get the part to fix it or mail all 10 pieces (I don’t know where all the pieces are) back to Dyson and be without a vacum for 3 weeks. . It’s a huge hassle. Don’t buy Dyson. For this amount of money you would think it could be an easy fix. It’s like they want to make it difficult for you so you don’t return the vacumn for a new replacement. Why does a multimillion dollar company not have basic pieces (like the motor!) in stock. But it is my fault. I read that it had problems in these comments and I ignored them thinking it wouldn’t happen to me. I’m eating my words. Don’t but Dyson. There are so many other companies to buy from now. It was a good vacumn but nothing amazing.
