Yes, the asking price is STEEP, but once you own it and use it, you won’t question your decision. This vacuum is incredible. It’s so quick and easy to use. Snatch it off the charging base and press the trigger. It eliminates all the small barriers to entry that prevent you from cleaning--pulling the vacuum out of a closet, plugging it in, wrapping the cable up when you’re done, etc. Are these first world problems? Absolutely. But, it’s the difference between me wanting to clean and not wanting to. That’s what’s so incredible about the Dyson. It makes me want to clean. Doesn’t matter if it’s the floor of my car or my hard woods in our living space or the carpet in our bedrooms or the patio rug. I just grab and go. The defect functionality is also a game changer. Ever see those videos of people deep carpet cleaning a nasty rug, or the videos of people power washing a nasty driveway? It’s ultra satisfying to watch the filth magically go away. That’s what the defect is like. At first, you can’t see any dust or debris on the ground. Then, you turn the vacuum on. All of a sudden, you see crud everywhere! With one pass, the Dyson sucks up everything. It’s amazing. We own a Roomba too. However, the defect reveals tons of stuff the Roomba didn’t pick up even immediately after the Roomba finished a cycle. And it’s not like I have an old Roomba. It’s a higher end model from just 2 years ago. Just goes to show how the Dyson outshines other vacuums—both our Roomba and our old traditional vacuum. Now, I hardly go more than a day without vacuuming in the house, whereas I literally used to go weeks, if not months, without vacuuming. So, yes, just buy it. It’s worth it, especially since they’re almost always on sale (though, even then it is still expensive).

I was skeptical about buying a whole house cordless vacuum. I just didn't think it would have the suction to get the job done to my satisfaction. Boy was I wrong! This Dyson has a tremendous amount of suction and is extremely lightweight and easy to maneuver. It comes with several very hand attachments and you can even purchase more attachments aftermarket for the vacuum. The brushroll head did a tremendous job vacuuming my carpet. The vacuum was actually hard to lift up while it was running telling me the brush roll was really engaged and it had great suction. The soft roll head for vacuuming hard wood floors does an equally good job and is almost embarrassing to use. The green laser on the front illuminates every single speck of dust, dirt and pet hair on the floor and usually with one single pass, it's all gone. We have two dogs and a cat so pet hair is a real problem in our house. My dog and I have a favorite chair with a leather like surface and it's always littered with her hair as she sheds really bad. The screw tool attachment that's designed for picking up pet hair works like magic! I have never used anything as effective as this for picking up my dog's pet hair. It works better than a lint roller on this chair. I simply cannot recommend this vacuum highly enough. Yes, it's expensive, but it's well worth the money! I am very, very pleased with mine and would rate it 6 stars if I could!

This dyson has a light, it has a bunch of connections, and the battery lasts longer. I won’t lie it is definitely heavier, but it is worth it. The suction is strong. I have used this to clean my stairs, my floors, my couch, my bathroom, my kitchen, even my car. If you have been using vacuum cleaners that have to be plugged into the wall, once you get this you will NEVER look back. It may be a bit pricey, but it is worth every single penny.

I purchased this Dyson V 15 detect two months ago I owned the original Dyson ball several years ago as well as the original. Dyson was a good vacuum. It was very heavy and Cumbus some to get around. I find the V5 as much more powerful as way more suction and is a lot lighter because it’s a cordless. The Dyson V5 also sports some great features that you don’t normally see on the vacuum one of them being a green laser light on the hardwood floor attachment that makes it very easy to see dust that you would not normally see with your eye I’m very happy I decided on the Dyson V 15 I feel it’s worth every penny I paid

Dyson V15 Detect Review After using the Dyson V15 Detect for a few years, I can confidently say it lives up to the hype. I love the laser dust detection. It’s both satisfying and mildly horrifying. The suction power is impressive. Whether it’s pet hair, crumbs, or fine dust, the V15 handles it without a hitch. The Piezo sensor that counts particles feels a bit gimmicky at first, but over time, it became a helpful tool to know when an area is truly clean. Battery life is great! I get around 45 to 60 minutes on Eco mode, which is more than enough for a full-house clean. On Boost mode, it does drain faster, but the performance is excellent. The design is sleek, and the attachments are thoughtfully made. The anti-tangle hair screw tool is a win, especially for pet owners. It’s also relatively easy to empty and clean. Pros: Powerful suction, Great for both carpets and hard floors, Smart display and particle count feedback, Versatile attachments Cons: Expensive, A bit top-heavy for long sessions, Battery not removable without tools If you're serious about cleanliness and want high-tech features that actually make a difference, the Dyson V15 Detect is worth the investment. This vacuum is awesome. You can see the dirt on the ground with the laser. The bin is big and easy to empty. Speed variable based on the dirt being cleaned. Super strong suction and is picking up more than our old Dyson ball vac. Great battery life. The one big con is that it is so good we can't stop using it so we are now cleaning all day. Thanks Dyson. In all seriousness the only real downside of this thing is that it is a little big for tight spaces like the car. We love it.

Lightweight, easy to use, great suction, lots of attachments. I love this vacuum, especially the head with the laser that detects dust and hair. I live in a pet house and this powers through no issues. The one thing I wish is that that battery life was longer than 45 minutes, but that doesn't bother me a whole lot.

So far I am keeping it but am not 100% I do really like cordless vacuums just have not found the perfect one yet. Pros: it has decent suction for a cordless. The light feature is nice but also a little stressful to see the dust lol Con: This is the reason I might return if I do. The weight and having to hold it on the whole time. They all do this but since this one is a little heavier it hurts my fingers and hand after a bit and I have a small house. I have joint issues so a normal person may not have an issue with this. If I had a larger house it would be a no go. While I said the suction is decent it is still not comparable to a plugged one I think. I feel like I vacuum and it shows no dust and then a second later when I go over it is dusty again. I think it just comes back from the house but the light makes me see it when I would not have otherwise. Making it feel like it will never be clean. All in all it is ok and the convenience is super nice. So will see. I am saying yes I would recommend because there is no maybe. I am torn if I would. If someone is ok gripping for a while then yes if not then no if someone has an older dustier house it might not be the best. If someone struggles with OCD type feeling of wanting everything picked up this might not be the one OR maybe that would be helpful.

My first Dyson, I was nervous, they are pricey, but they are good. This is a great vacuum and the green light feature that shows you where the dust is - awesome! I thought I was doing a good job before but this vacuum shows me the dirty truth! It highlights the area you are working in so you can see what is there so you can be as thorough as you want. The battery life on the highest setting is under an hour, but that's enough to do the whole house. It's lightweight for the most part which is nice. The cordless nature is amazing.. no more lugging the cord around from area to area, now I can get the vacuuming done in half the time I used to! This is a great tool. I cant speak to its longevity as it has only been 2 months.

This works better than any of my other Dysons, and I have 5 older ones. It's light enough for me and I love the green light that makes dust easily visible. I especially like the particle counts that are constantly moving up as I vacuum. I found that the 60 minutes, which is actually more like 90, is more than sufficient to complete my entire house of 1776 sf. Not big but it gives you an idea of how long it lasts. Great vacuum!

Dyson is a wonderful brand and while their items can be expensive the quality, durability, and features can’t be matched in my opinion. So it is no different with the v15 detect. My favorite feature is the light for hardwood floors, the light helps me catch so many missed crumbs and reveals stains where i need to mop. (Toddler & baby household). I also love how the vacuum detects where there is more dirt so the suction adapts which helps save battery life versus me manually swapping through the modes which i had to do with my old v8. Another awesome feature is being able to see the run time which has proven to be accurate when i vacuum the entire house. So far, i haven’t ran out of battery once. I definitely see a major improvement in the suction of the brush heads, don’t get me wrong, my v8 had very nice suction but the run time in that mode was short. The bigger bin with no touch button is also spectacular and lets me 2-3 rooms before needing to empty it versus with my v8 i had to practically empty the bin with each room. And don’t get me started on the attachments, their upgrades are awesome. Crevice tool is see through and has a light to illuminate the area you’re cleaning, I’m thinking car, carseat, baseboards, couches, which makes it easy to see dirt and find lost things. The tool that makes the dyson lower to get under things like the stove, the bed, or play pen, is easy on the back and i don’t have to move appliances as much to get all the way underneath them. The wand clips also allows me to bring two tools on the wand which saves me from having to go back to the docking station when cleaning. TL.DR :Overall the v15 brings improvements to the dyson and brings convenient features for everyday household use. Definitely worth the buy and 2yr warranty is nice add on. 10/10 recommended it.

I am upgrading from the regular v15 detect after having for 2 years and multiple times a day use. (I have heavy traffic in my home). I LOVE the ease and the power of the v15 detect extra. This little lady has strong suction without being very loud and the little chopper for when picking up hair is by far my favorite feature. My daughter and I have very lengthy haid and there tends to be a bit on the floor and this baby makes quick work of it woth no hair stuck on the roller. The new light up attachments makes seeing dust and bits a breeze. And of course the smaller broom heads lazer light shows those dust bunnies we did not even know were there. Overall the BEST purchase ever!!!!

As an owner, this vacuum is unmatched and we are thinking about getting a second. The green light makes sure that dirt and dust mites don’t have anywhere to hide. Suction is fantastic and the auto detect is great at conserving energy for the battery life. The collection container is a serviceable size. For bigger jobs you’ll have to empty multiple times, but we are vacuuming multiple times a day so it works for us. The discarding of the dirt isn’t the smoothest so if there was one gripe, it would be that. Otherwise, perfect vacuum for space saving and ease of using.

I LOVE this thing! The fluffy sweeper is SO amazing and it shows me where I need to sweep and what's still clean from yesterday's sweep. The first time I used it, I was amazed at how much dust and hair was on my floor and how my broom did a fine job of swirling it around but just wasn't getting it up. The attachments are great but, honestly, I use the crevice tool occasionally, and the rug attachment and the floor attachment the most. I definitely don't like that there isn't a light on the rug attachment. If you don't see a hair pin, or something else that's slightly too big to go through, it can get caught in the head and it's kind of hard to fish out, to say nothing of the fact that the last thing you want to do is damage your new, expensive vacuum. The trigger requires so little pressure to hold that I accidentally activate it too often. I ended up getting one of those locks for it, not because it's hard to hold but because it acts as a little guard too. That way I don't accidentally activate it while I'm trying to empty it. And, by the way, it is so easy to empty compared to by big ball Dyson. It does fill up fast but it's so easy to empty that I don't care. I don't use the readout much and, other than the battery estimate, I don't really care what the readout has to say. I do find that I spot clean more often. It's just too easy to spill some popcorn and then grab the unit and vacuum it right up instead of picking up what you can and then having to break out the big vacuum and plug it in. I don't mind if I have to vacuum 3 or 4 times a day, it is easy and fast. It's just as easy to vacuum as it is to wipe off the counter. I've heard that this wobbles but mine doesn't. Maybe with age? The attachment is pretty sturdy feeling to me. I really love everything about this unit except that the rug head doesn't have a light and, despite some complaints about the limited battery life, I find that I spot clean so often now that I don't really have to run it that long. It's an amazing unit. The last thing that seems important to me is the adjustment from full body to stick. There IS an adjustment. The first time I used it, it was a bit awkward to push. I have high pile rugs and the unit worked great on the high pile but my medium pile area rug, well, the unit sucked a seal on it that made it hard to move. I had to open the vents all of the way. I just keep them open now because it's easier to push on the rugs. After adjusting to the angle and new feel, the stick felt much easier to push than my big Dyson. The other adjustment is the filter maintenance. The filter it came with was pretty filthy after I vacuumed all of the floors. Now that the floors are cleaner, the filter lasts longer but there's a lot less surface area on these little filters than on my big Dyson, so they get dirty faster. I ended up buying a second one right away so I can wash them and switch them out every three days. They just need a good spray wash and they have cleaned up nice and white and brand new looking so far. I think the trick is just not letting them get too dirty. The filter maintenance is more frequent but seems easier than it does with my big Dyson. All around, this stick is the best vacuum I've ever owned and this is the cleanest my floors have ever been with the least effort I've ever had to expend.

The Dyson V15 Detect is incredible. It offers powerful suction, smart features like laser dust detection, and adjusts automatically for different floor types. Even after several months usage the battery lasts easily upto 45 minutes or so, enough to clean the whole house, with being OCD..this is perfect for me to follow the green light on it for deep cleaning in each & every corner.

We eliminated all of the carpet in our house so I wanted a lightweight, cordless vacuum for every day use. This vacuum has been great! It is light weight, easy to use, easy to empty and change attachments and the battery is long lasting. I love the light pipe crevice tool and the fluffy optic cleaner head because they are lighted and show all the dirt!

I love my new cordless Dyson vacuum. It is so easy to use. It is light weight and the charge last a long time. I only have to recharge once to vacuum my whole house.

very powerful, lightweight, easy to use, easy to change attachments, doesn't get tangled with hair, just overall very high quality. The only negative I would give it is the battery life since boost mode kills it fairly quickly. We need to use boost mode on the carpet but we are changing our floors to vinyl and this shouldn't be a problem once that happens.

Wow this Dyson is amazing. It is powerful and easy for us to use. It is easy to grab hold of to clean instead of getting the corded vacuum out. The battery lasts 60 minutes plenty of time to get all our vacuum needs done
