It takes about 2 to 3 hours to charge and then you only get maybe 15 mins of vacuum time before you have to put it back on the charger! I love the cordless and light weight for my kids but for the price NOT worth it!!!

Thanks for providing this review. Sorry to hear the V6 Absolute has not met your expectations. You are right to note that Dyson states up to a 20 minute run time on standard mode with a 3.5 hour charge time. The V6 has a run time enhancing trigger – meaning that you are only using energy when you really want to be cleaning, rather than leaving it running when you’re moving furniture or moving from one room to the next. In developing the V6, Dyson engineers researched how long people like to clean, and found that the vast majority of people clean for less than 20 minutes in one session. Many people, for example those living in apartments in metropolitan areas, find 20 minutes proves to be long enough. Although if you live in a much bigger home, we would recommend that the V6 be used for in-between cleans, rather than deep whole home cleans.
Further, using a lithium ion battery pack, the V6 releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance. Other cordless machines may claim longer run times, but thanks to fading batteries, clogging bags and filters, they can quickly lose up to half their suction power in use.

Picks up small things well. Should be better.

We love that you can go pick up small messes quickly and easily. The bad part is the battery life is really bad. Even fully charged, I didn't even get done with the stairs before it died. It also doesn't pick up items I would expect it to. Just fine crumbs mainly. Worth $400? Probably not. But it is ultra convenient.
