Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered a short run time with your Dyson V6 Animal. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. The total run time will be up to 20 minutes.
In Max power run time will be up to 6 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 16-20 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Battery has died three times in two years
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use it 2-3 times per week for around 10 minutes each time. Performs well when it’s working but every six months the battery dies. Clearly a known issue as they quickly sent us a new battery the first time and a whole new unit the second. This time they are trying to claim the 2 ye warranty is up even though our receipt shows 4 more weeks to run. Even if it were up you would think Dyson would be embarrassed about multiple failures but they don’t seem to be. They did offer bizarrely to replace the motor for more than we paid for the whole unit! Shame on you Dyson! Stay away from this product and company. They look and operate really great but vacuum repair shops are full of them!
