I had an older one that I bought at Best Buy a few years ago that still works great. But this one is much more powerful! I didn't necessarily need this one since the other one works just fine, but the price was better than Black Friday pricing and it is newer and more powerful. I love it. It totally recommend this Dyson stick vacuum.

Great suction. Battery life on this model is 10-12 minutes of continuous use. Great for quick clean ups but not whole house clean ups. I have the v8 version too. The v8 battery life is much better and needed if you are looking to do whole house vacuuming.

EZ Use But Not Long Enough

It works well for small, limited area, jobs. Its' major short coming is being battery powered. It does use Lithium Ion cells. It just doesn't run long enough before needing recharge (10-12 minutes). A second replaceable battery pack would help but Lithium Ion batteries are expensive.

The battery run time of our V6 line is 6-7 minutes on Max power, and 17-20 minutes on standard power.
