I had a Hoover Air vaccum that came with two external batteries allowing to vaccum a large three bedrooms apartment without having to wait for recharge. The bottum of this vaccum rest too low against the floor surface, normally I have trouble picking up cooked rice off from hard surface floors. An addition of a LED bright light would be a great idea for better vaccumnig during night time.

Thank you for providing this review. The V6 cordless offers a 26 minute cleaning time, with a 20 minute run time before the battery runs out. That is because V6 has a run time enhancing trigger – meaning that you are only using energy when you really want to be cleaning, rather than leaving it running when you’re moving furniture or moving from one room to the next. In developing V6, Dyson engineers researched how long people like to clean, and found that the vast majority of people clean for less than 25 minutes in one session. Many people, for example those living in apartments in metropolitan areas, find 26 minutes proves to be long enough.
Further, V6 releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance. Other cordless machines may claim longer run times, but thanks to fading batteries, clogging bags and filters, they can quickly lose up to half their suction power in use.
Regarding the pickup of rice and similar debris, in relation to the standard dust and dirt particles that our machines are designed to pick up, rice is quite dense and heavy. We would advise using the included crevice tool and switching the machine over to MAX mode for better results. The boost in power and concentrated airflow will really help with the experience.
