They are expensive but there's a reason. They make a quality well made product that's easily disassembled for cleaning. This vacuum holds true to the dyson name. Super powerful for its size, a DC digital motor and a quality product. They are hand down the best cordless vacuums on the market. For the people complaining about battery life, dyson only claims a 20 min runtime on this so if you checked the specs first you wouldn't be dissapointed. If your purchasing this vacuum as the sole product to vacuum your entire house your barking up the wrong tree that is NOT it's propose and they do not deserve a lesser review because you bought a vacuum and expect something out of it that it is not designed for ie; vacuuming a 1,200 Sq ft ranch. All in all, highly recommend. Great product and you get what you pay for. Their not building overpriced cheap products, they are every bit of the quality reflected in their cost. Hope this helps!!

Posted .Hi Scotty, this is Aimee with Dyson. I am happy to hear that you are pleased with the suction of your new V6 Motorhead. As for the battery life, it does seem the machine may be on Max mode, which would be why the run time is closer to 10 minutes rather than the full run time of 17-20 minutes. You will want to power the machine on, and hold down the Max button on the back, you will hear a pause in the power and then it will reset in regular mode. Although, this should resolve the issue and allow for your machine to have a much longer run time, we would like to know more about your experience.
