Not crazy about not being able to take it apart to be able to wash and clean the vaccum ..like I was able to do in older models.. Now every time I vaccum I hate the smell because the vaccum is dirty inside and there's no way of detaching the battery from the body..

Great sweeper. Use it mainly on laminate and tile.

we had the Dyson V6 motorhead for about 45 days, and it's already broken. Took it back to the store and they will do nothing, except refer me to the manufacturer. VERY unhappy, total waste of $400.

Great convenience with no cord however you can't vacuum an entire house in 6 minutes. Great for A one room vacuum but who can afford that?

I read all the reviews before deciding on this one. When I first got it the "Max" button was on & I didn't realize it so the battery was not holding up. After I realized this, I turned the "Max" button off and what a difference. I love this vacuum. It doesn't take me long at all to vacuum all the hardwood floors plus it's so lite weight. Works great on throw rugs. I have only used it on carpet for spot cleaning & have done stairs. Can't say enough good things about this vacuum.

Let me begin by saying I had a Shark Vacuum I bought in Macy's prior to upgrading to this machine. I bought said Shark Vacuum a year ago, so it was relatively new when you consider a lot of people will have a vacuum for years. I thought Dysons were over the top expensive and why would anyone spend so much for a machine? Well... my Husband bought me one for Christmas and now I understand why!! This machine IS AMAZING!! Out of the box it sucked a canister full of dirt my Shark Vacuum was leaving behind!!! I should add I am COMPULSIVE about cleaning... OCD status... I Vacuum practically everyday... So seeing that much dirt come out of carpets I had previously vacuumed was mind blowing. This little machine is light weight, I can vacuum my whole 2 bedroom Apartment in in about 15 minutes and it honestly leaves NOTHING behind. I used to have to concentrate 15 minutes per area because my previous vacuum cleaner constantly left things behind. I am honestly and truthfully in love with this machine and find myself vacuuming for the sake of vacuuming just to use it... LOL... I know that sounds over the top but honestly, it fun to use! I really recommend splurging on a good machine. This machine has really turned me into a believer.... Dyson totally lives up to all the hype and is truthfully worth the money.

I already have and love a Dyson corded Animal. We've had it for years and as long as you wash the filter periodically, it never loses suction. BUT it's big and quite heavy. I needed something to use downstairs where I have wall-to wall carpeting in the living room and hardwood with oriental rugs on them in the rest of the downstairs and stone flooring in the kitchen. Sick of the cord, I thought I would try this stick vac. Did I mention I have 2 big Goldendoodles? While they don't shed, they do bring in all manner of junk from the yard. Sticks, leaves, chewed up pine cones.. dirt. You name it.. When someone calls and says they're stopping by, it's usually a mad dash for the big vacuum. Not any more. I LOVE this vacuum. I didn't use the wall storage that came with it.. I just lean it in the corner of my office, right off the kitchen where I can quickly grab it. I keep it plugged in so it's always ready. I can do my whole downstairs, thoroughly, including the staircase and the battery hasn't run out yet, I usually empty the bin twice. It will kick out a stick or chunk of pine cone but that's because of the spinning roller. I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. The big Dyson now lives upstairs and is great for the bedrooms and the landing.

Okay product for the money small and compact......

The vacuum outperforms my expectations in almost every way. It has incredible suction and with the Max button engaged it is amazing/disgusting how much dust it can pull up from carpet. The 6 minutes of vacuum time (w/ Max engaged) is the perfect amount of time needed to clean my 2 bedroom home. Of course the first couple weeks that I ran it I had to clean out the reservoir quickly but after a while you'll only have to empty it after each complete household run. I have used the attachments for the car are garage. Having a lightweight cordless option has saved me a ton of time and a lot of hassle.

Doesn't last 20 minutes, overheats, I returned it.

I never thought I would buy a Dyson because of the price but when this stick vac went on sale on Black Friday I decided to get it and I'm very happy with the performance. We have five (yes 5) cats and two dogs who shed everywhere and this is the first vacuum that pulls hair from every surface - carpet, hard floors, upholstery, sheets, nooks and crannies under over and around furniture and objects. A bit disappointed with the battery life so I rated it a 4 but I'm willing to plug it in more often because the suction makes it worthwhile in my home and I use it in short bursts..

This item went bad in couple months, and keep stopping working, called back to Dyson customer service for couple times and the problem did not solve. Why you buying hundred dollars vacuum and quality even worst than 50 dollars!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!! GARAGE AND HORRIBLE CUSOTMER SERVICE!!!!!

Has all the power of a standard vacuum without the hassle of a cord. On normal setting battery life is 15-20 minutes, which is plenty for quick daily cleaning. Max power drains the battery extremely quickly, mine only lasts 5-6 minutes, which is my only real complaint. Easy maneuverability, easy emptying, great on carpet, good on hardwood.

the vacuum works great on carpet and wood floors. it stores easily and it makes vacuuming less of a chore because of its size and convenience. it works best with the head attached. I used it handheld in the car and it worked okay but not as great as I had hoped.

Got this on Black Friday and it was a great deal. We already have the DC25 Animal, but wanted something cordless so we can vacuum the car and places where we need to get up on a ladder. This does the trick. One thing that is a benefit of having two Dysons is that the attachments can be used on both devices, so we didn't need to buy the animal version of this since we already had the attachment from the other device. A bonus we had with this was there was an insert in the box for a free attachment kit. That was a very nice bonus. It states the battery life is 20 minutes, and that is our experience. It would be nice for that to be extended, but we can live with it considering the benefits we get. I see some reviews say you can vacuum your whole house with this. We live in a 2000 square foot home, and there is no way we could pull that off with this, so it depends on the size of your home whether you could accomplish that. We had given some thought of replacing the corded Dyson we have with this. We would not recommend that for two reasons. One is the battery life, and the other is that this unit is not as powerful as the corded unit.

Our household was in the market to buy a new vacuum. We were originally using a Bissell Zing which worked decently, but was too cumbersome to drag around and plug in everywhere. After reading reviews on here and the review on Consumer Reports (this model being #1 for cordless), we decided to try one out since it was on sale. I am so glad we did! It's very powerful, the cup holds a surprising amount of hair/crumbs/lint! What's even more surprising is how efficient the powered brush roller head is... it picked up ALL the hair on our pet beds! So far I am very impressed and will be a Dyson customer from now on!

I have used a DC16 Animal cordless vacuum for some years now, and after going through 2 battery packs decided to look at the newer models. This one has much more power and longer cleaning time, assuming you turn off the "Max" mode. The long wand and powered brush allow you to easily pick up animal hair and other dirt from carpet. You can also use the same head without the wand to clean upholstery. I also bought a new upright Cinetic Big Ball, and its upholstery attachment fits this vacuum, too.

I got tired of using cheap upright vacuums, so I thought this cordless vac would do the trick. I like that I can use it like an upright but also convert it to a smaller handheld if needed. It definitely cleans well. Just make sure to empty it out after each use and charge it on a regular basis so it's ready for you. I wish that the battery lasted longer but that would be my only draw back.

Had a Dirt Devil for years and it was just ok. It finally died so I bought the Dyson V6 Motorhead. I already own an older Dyson that still kicks butt. The V6 is very light, great suction and is extremely versatile. I have owned it for about 3 months and highly recommend it.

Dyson cordless stick vacuum works as expected so far. No issues after 2 months of use. Easy to move around and very light. would recommend.
