It has two speeds, low and high. The only down side to this vacuum is that it doesn't last very long on high so you have to either split the job up or plan accordingly.

I don't have another cordless vacuum to compare it to but I can't say I was blown away by the suction power. I got it on sale and had some gift cards to use so overall I am happy with my purchase but I probably would have been just as happy with a less expensive model.

I do not like the very short charge time and you must keep the button depressed in order for it to work. Once you release the button, the vacuum stops. Your finger can get tired holding the button in for a large mess to clean up!
