The V6 is great for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs.

Super short Usage Time. not very useful

"not very piratical" I would rather by a small portable Shop Vac if needed to leave in the car and use it to clean. This handle Vac literally is only for use with vacuuming up Dust and Hair in a small amount of time. You'll need it plug in and charge all the time otherwise you'll find yourself with a paper weight. very disappointed with this product... if only the batter life was a lot better.. like an hour of continuous run time.

Thanks for your review. You are right to note that Dyson states a 26 minute cleaning time, with a 20 minute run time before the battery runs out. That is because the V6 has a run time enhancing trigger – meaning that you are only using energy when you really want to be cleaning, rather than leaving it running when you’re moving furniture or moving from one room to the next. In developing the V6, Dyson engineers researched how long people like to clean, and found that the vast majority of people clean for less than 25 minutes in one session. Many people, for example those living in apartments in metropolitan areas, find 26 minutes proves to be long enough. Although if you live in a much bigger home, we would recommend that the V6 be used for in-between cleans, rather than deep whole home cleans.
Further, using a lithium ion battery pack, the V6 releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance. Other cordless machines may claim longer run times, but thanks to fading batteries, clogging bags and filters, they can quickly lose up to half their suction power in use.
