My favorite use is for spilled ground coffee (always happens to me) it just sucks it up like no tomorrow-I would git it five stars but it sometimes seizes up when I use it for picking up long human hair strands-fine with short pet hair

I expected a really powerful handheld vacuum because it is a Dyson and the high price. The suction is terrible! The charge time is too long to vacuum for 6 minutes. You have to use max power to get any suction at all. Dyson needs to discontinue this product. I returned mine after one use. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I expected BETTER from Dyson!

It barely picks up dog hair, it does as bad as a Black and Decker dust buster. Wasn't too happy it takes 3.5 hours to charge and you only get 20 mins. on regular speed, that doesn't even pick up much!!!!! Max power offers only 6 minutes, which doesn't do any better than the regular power. What a let down! I don't get the rave reviews?! Waaay too much money for a lousy job. Want my advice? DON'T BUY IT, get a Shark handheld device instead! This item is going back ASAP!

Posted .Dyson DC58 has a run-time enhancing trigger. The trigger grip releases instantly, meaning battery power is only used for vacuuming. It allows for 20 minutes of powerful suction, with 6 minutes on maximum power on boost mode. DC58 is on when you need it, off when you don’t.
