Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thanks for sharing your review of the Dyson V7 Motorhead. All Dyson cord-free models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, which ensures that battery power is only used when the trigger is engaged - it's not wasted when moving from room to room or around obstacles. Right out of the box, your machine will be set to MAX mode, which will provide up to 7 minutes of run time. MAX power is generally reserved for more stubborn messes or larger debris. When not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.

Would have preferred a different color, but this version was on sale. Would have preferred a 'swap out' battery design to extend the run-time. Battery not designed for 'quick-disconnect'. Also, you have to hold-down the 'on' trigger - would have preferred a 'lock' feature. Pricey but nice. I've tried several different brands. Hope this lasts longer than the others...
