Requires that one maintains consistent pressure on Power/Activity button for the system to function, which would exhaust one's forearm muscles. Battery drains rather quickly and requires frequent recharge. Would not recommend.

Posted .Hi Karen, this is Kelly with Dyson. All Dyson cord-free models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, which ensures that battery power is only used when the trigger is engaged - it's not wasted when moving from room to room or around obstacles. Right out of the box, your machine will be set to MAX mode, which will provide up to 7 minutes of run time. MAX power is generally reserved for more stubborn messes or larger debris. When not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool. If you are finding your battery is only allowing for a short period of run time, we would suggest using the machine in regular, rather than MAX power.
