Our cordless models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, hygienic bin emptying, and a variety of tools and attachments to tackle varying cleaning tasks. With regard to battery life on our V7, your machine features two power modes, regular and MAX. Right out of the box, the machine will be set to MAX power, which provides a generous boost of suction power to tackle more stubborn messes or larger debris. In this mode, your run time will be up to 7 minutes. For everyday household vacuuming, regular power mode will provide sufficient suction, along with 20-30 minutes of run time, depending on the tool being used.

A very capable vacuum!

This vacuum delivers very good suction in a lightweight, quiet, cord-free package. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was that the vacuum never lost full suction right up until the time the battery ran out. Speaking of the battery, the specs say that the battery will last 20 minutes at the normal suction rate. In my case the battery lasted a full 29 minutes while using the main agitator. If using the other attachments the battery will last somewhat longer. Another nice surprise is just how well the vacuum sucks...and that's a good thing! I swept approximately 1200 square feet in a pet-friendly home and the Dyson V7 Motorhead picked up a lot of pet dander.
