Doesn’t have the power for homes with rugs and carpets. I noticed that when vacuuming things and you let go of the button some of what you are vacuuming falls back out. We’ve had many Dysons and this is the least impressive. The finish also scratches easily

All Dyson cord-free models feature a run-time enhancing trigger, which ensures that battery power is only used when the trigger is engaged - it's not wasted when moving from room to room or around obstacles. Right out of the box, your machine will be set to MAX mode, which will provide up to 7 minutes of run time. MAX power is generally reserved for more stubborn messes or larger debris. When not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
Your V7 does feature a direct-drive cleaner head, for use on both carpeting and bare floors. We wouldn't expect debris to fall out of your machine as you've indicated.
