Has worked well for picking up pet hair and debris using the proper vacuum head. Fairly light and maneuverable. Emptying dirt reservoir can be awkward. Need to hold the head right over the waste basket. For full house cleanup still use regular canister and upright vacuums.

This vacuum make cleaning a breeze. Time spent vacuuming is reduced by at least fifty percent. Unit is great for high crown moldings, blinds etc. I was shocked at how much dirt is extracted feom our carpets. The battery in this unit lasts. I have had no issues with battery life.

Was a little concerned that the Dyson would live up to the expectations. It does, has more power for a cordless vacuum than I expected. The only downside is the battery does not last as long as I would like however I would buy again for the freedom from the cord. Does a great job!

This is a powerful, easy to use machine. It sucks up hair and dirt you didn't know was there. The only negative is that is shuts off after 20 or so minutes on high suction so you can not clean your whole house at once on high. The regular suction works well and lasts longer.

Purchased the Dyson V8 Absolute ... It's so easy & convenient to operate, I find myself taking it out daily to do something whether it's floors, furniture, car. The price is reasonable when I realized I'll be calling the carpet cleaners less. Truly my favorite home appliance!

This vacuum is definitely worth the money my wood floors have never looked cleaner and it does a good job on the rugs as well. It is so nice not having to drag a cord around and I haven't had any problem doing the whole house on a single charge. Very satisfied with this purchase

This is a fantastic vacuum with well thought out tools. The power (on high mode) out performs all of my electric vacuums from other manufacturers I've owned in the past. I have dogs and cats and this machine cleans it up like no other. To top it off the cleanout system is now so easy.

When we purchased this we had our doubts. It has been everything they have said. We love it.

Good vacuum but wish battery life, although adequate, longer. No bags, etc. Easy to clean.

I love this vacuum. I was skeptical when I bought it whether the battery operated stick would have enough power to work well. I use it all the time and would recommend this to anyone. I just wish it came with some more storage for all of the attachments.

Bought it 1 month ago to replace/upgrade my existing Dyson V6 model. I'm total happy with my decision. It works fine for my whole house without disruption for battery charging. The only thing I would not expect is that the V8 model seems to have a bit noisier than I thought.

This is a great vacuum. I could not imagine dragging a cord around the house anymore. Makes clean up convenient and easy. Make sure you select a dyson that has a battery which lasts long enough to be able to vacuum your whole home. Full power is not necessary for vacuuming unless it is a big mess. Battery lasts twice as long on half power.

This is a must have vacuum! It is so easy and convenient to pull out and quick vacuum an area. It does a great job, only downfall is that the battery doesn’t last too long and takes a while to recharge. I would purchase this again if I had to do it all over again.

The Dyson V8 Absolute is certainly pricey, but I love it...incredibly versatile. It's mounted on a wall, charged and ready to clean up just about anything (like spiders! on the ceiling!). Reach low, reach high. Clean carpets, floors, or your car. Well worth the money.

Much queiter that previous models, which was a nice surprise. The motor seems to not have as high piched a whine as before. Battery life is about the same as previous models. The hard floor attachment is a must have for smooth floors and is only included with this particular package. It is not cost efficient to purchase another set and then the hard floor attachment seperately (probably by design).

Amazon vacuum would recommend it to anyone, expensive but well worth the amount spent.

We have used this vacuum several times on wood and carpet. It has a soft roller for the wood which is nice. The other roller for carpet works well too. We are super pleased with the performance. This V8 Absolute picks up alot of dirt. We love it.

I waited forever to buy this. I have a hardwood floor, 2 carpeted stairs and a carpeted upstairs. I'm amazed how much the D8 picks up. The rollers come out and you can remove all of the hair. It's just like new every time I vacuum. I haven't used up a full battery yet.

I had the model before this, V6 and I loved everything about it except the battery time. So when V8 came out, and the battery is said to be good for 40 minutes, I got it right away and it has been great so far! I can finish the whole house without having to recharge.
