This vacuum was a great purchase! I am so glad I bought it!

I have never owned a Dyson because of the perceived higher cost. In reality TCO is lower. I purchased this to tackle pet hair in the House, in the cars and on the boat. Wish I would have purchased this sooner.

Although a little pricey, this vacuum does a great job and is very easy to maneuver. We love the fact that it is cordless, and the battery has plenty of power to complete our entire first floor (mainly hardwood and tile) easily.

I currently have 3 Dyson Cordless vacs. They are great! Dyson continues to improve the product over time. My latest goes a full 40 minutes. We also have a corded Dyson vacuum, so we are obviously fans of the product.

This makes me love vacuuming! Sleek, easy, & very durable.

Purchased because we were tired of vacuuming the stairs on a 3 story condo. Well so far it is much easier when cleaning the stairs and cleans most of the rest of the carpeting as long as we don't use the max power setting.

Great Vacuum - I live in a house with old hardwood floors. Some places have gaps between the wood that a broom or my old vacuum could never get. This thing got it right up in one pass. My floors feel so clean now.

Thus is the best vacuum that I have ever owned. It cleans and picks up so well. Love the convenience of it always being charged and it always lasts for a full charge each time I clean. Do not hesitate to buy this!

It keeps sucking the area rugs up. These area rugs are good size and on a heavy thick padding.

We purchased the Dyson V8 because we have two golden retrievers. We need to vacuum dog hair sometimes twice a day, and it was a pain to assemble the big Kenmore vac every time. For many, the convenience is worth the extravagant price. The V8 Absolute goes for a $100 premium over the V8 Animal because it has a special rotating head for hard floors. The company is honest about its limited battery life -- a mere 7 minutes in high-power mode. And you'll need high power if you want to get anything off a carpet using the included carpet head. The vac makes a distinctive sound if it gets clogged. This is useful because it clogs often -- the opening into the vacuum chamber is quite small compared to the hollow tube that feeds into it. Ironically, I unclog it with a Shop-Vac. The company says it's "lightweight and balanced" but I urge prospective buyers to actually heft one & decide for themselves. Finally, the vac nestles neatly into a self-charging station (which must be near an electrical outlet). The station has clips to hold two auxiliary tools. However, the V8 Absolute comes with THREE tools plus the additional rotary head, leaving the owner to find somewhere else to store the extras. Bottom line, if you have hard floors and hairy dogs, and hate to drag out a regular corded vac, this might be a good purchase. If you're all carpeted, either go for the V8 Animal or look for a corded mini-vac that can tackle all that hair. And if you hate plastic tools that look like a cross between a Nerf cannon and a Super Soaker, look elsewhere.

This vacuum cleaner has a great suction and is easy to use

This is an awesome vacuum, my wife loves it’s and it makes it super easy for her to vacuum the whole house. We live in a 1,100 sq. house and she’s able to vacuum the whole house in one single charge.

I love my Dyson - V8 Absolute Bagless Cordless 2-in-1 Handheld/Stick Vacuum. It was easy to assemble and the extended battery time allows me to get all of my vacuuming done without a recharge. I highly recommend.

Does exactly what I was told it would. I like that it's lightweight and no cord. The only problem I had was that there was no information given on the tools which came with it, but they were easy to identify on line.

Bought this after wanting a bagless vacuum and seeing this picks up all the hair from our golden retriever puppy! Just be aware of power settung. Super power mode drains fast. Regular mode can last awhile!

Love this vacuum and my other Dyson products as well.

We had a V6 that had some issues, we had a warranty on it and Best Buy was great with the exchange. The V8 is quieter and has better suction. My favorite new feature is how you empty the bin, its much easier now.

Just moved into our new house that has all hardwood and tile floors. Hubby talked me into the V8 to replace my trusty Dyson upright. We love this cordless! Hubs actually "sweeps" the floors now. Glad he talked me into it!
