I've had a Dyson V6 for three years and love it. The battery only lasted about 20 minutes, which wasn't enough to do the whole house. My new V8 is much quieter, easier to clean out and the battery lasts close to 40 minutes. It has two heads, one for carpet and one for hard floors. They both pick up virtually everything. I still use both, but the V8 is my preference.

It is an expensive product, being a Dyson, but it is a great product. It is a very versatile vacuum; easy to maneuver and with the different attachments, very useful. It is less noisy than previous models and seems to be more powerful.

Bought this for my wife, as she had been wanting one forever. She and I both love it. simple one click tool exchange and very lightweight design.

I got this mainly for the stairs and couches. I also liked the hard floor attachment. I just got a puppy and it was on sale so the time was right. So far it lives up to its promise. The assortment of attachments are useful. It is easier to grab and clean up small areas than the large Dyson. It is not a replacement for the regular sweeper unless you do not have much to sweep, but I knew that going in. You can use it for the entire house, but you are will eventually get tired holding it where floor models are supported by the floor.

Researched all finally decided on the Dyson & the V8 as the best length of battery also very good pick up on floor dirt! Very happy with it!

versatility is paramount. Easily able to turn corners and vac under furniture. I have yet to even come close to exhausting the battery charge.

This is our second cordless. We had a V6. I thought it was a good product but my wife was lukewarm. The improvements to the V8 e.g. more suction, longer battery life, much easier to clean bin and improved carpet and new wood floor attachments, have solved all the reservations she had with the V6. Now she even uses the V8 herself. Less vacuuming for me..good buy.

Has great suction on high power but short battery life. Lots of attachments that are actually useful. Wish it had interchangeable batteries.

Did research on item both the V6 to the V8 the amount of battery time sold me on V8! Easy to handle picks up everything but haven’t used it on rugs yet. We have whole house tile with throw rugs so have other vac for those. My husband does those big vac to much for my back to handle!

I use this in my music studio. It's great for getting under cabinets and racks that are on rollers and picking up the dirt and dust around wires laying on the floor. It cleans the rack equipment with the attachments nicely. Battery power is great. Battery longevity is ok but should be longer. Buy an extra battery or two (just like you would for electric hand tools). That way when the battery gets to the end and time to recharge, you can pop another one in and let the used warm one time to sit and cool down before the battery is recharged. One extra battery will give you an hour on low speed. Two extra batteries should give you an hour on high suction. Low power is not bad though. This may sound bad but this is the best I've found and I've owned at least 4-5 of the other expensive brands. This is by far the best hand vacume when it comes to suction power, construction, ease of use, support, guarantee, and the ability for the customer to buy parts off the dyson website to replace or just have extras. After using this vacume, if I were to suddenly not have it anymore I would have to go buy another. It is expensive but I find I have no aggravation with this vacume and spending the money is not so painful because of that experience. I think you will love it, especially if you get at least one extra battery pack. ;-)

Love, love, love this vacuum! It's a dream to use and really lightweight! It makes vacuumming fun and not dreaded like before. I love the carpet attachment, it does a good job reviving the carpet and it has great suction. The other attachments are great too. I feel like my house stays cleaner now since I use it more and don't mind cleaning! Highly recommended.

This is the best vacuum I have ever used in my left. it is so light and has multiple attachments. it used to take me 15+ minutes to do the steps in my house. Now I can do it in less than 5 min. It can do hardwood like nothing and obviously carpet as well. So easy to use and do not have to worry about a cord following you around or an outlet nearby.

We're so glad to have purchased this vacuum! The V8 power behind the suction is extremely powerful - more powerful than any other vacuum I've purchased. I have arthritis, so finding one that was light and portable was necessary as well. Another huge plus is the sheer amount of attachments that come with the vacuum - you can clean most everything in your home :)

Already owned the V6 absolute and this is much better. The new way to empty the container is much more user friendly. Also feels lighter.

I've had Hoover vacuum cleaners forever, and although they cleaned respectively well, it was a chore dragging them around (heavy, and outlet required). The Dyson 8 Absolute cordless, is a dream. Light weight, attachments go on and off easily, and the power and pickup exceeds any other vacuum cleaner I've had. I was skeptical, but having used it, I'm sold.

I went to get he cheaper Animal vacuum but hemmed and hawed about getting the better one. I am glad I did. It is strong and came with every accessory brush, all of which I have found a use for. The unit charges in a snap and even though I keep it on MAX it has not died on me yet. I gave away my Dyson Ball because it was a pain to use, this one I use on a whim.

I had a v6 absolute and it was great than i upgraded to this one and absolutely love this one.. more suction and longer battery life

The Dyson V8 stick vac is one powerful machine. I vacuum 30 steps 1200sq ft of hardwood and my truck Nd still have plenty of battery.

It is pretty crazy that this vacuum is so powerful for being such a small unit. It does a great job of getting all of the pet hair.

Im really enjoying my dyson vacuum. The suction is great and battery life is also good. Plenty of attachments makes all my cleaning chores a breeze. I highly recommend this dyson. I have six animals in my household and takes care of all my animal hair floating around. Dont hesitate if you are thinking about this one.
