The cordless feature is nice but it lacks in suction compared the shark I had previously. I went with the dyson because I've heard good things. Would go back to a shark if I could do it over again. It works the best on hard surfaces but not as much with carpets.

I always looked at them as disposable. Took a gamble, this is by far the most I've ever spent on one. Cordless is the way to go. Battery life could be a little better, but it does great on hard surface and carpet. Plus the attachments were a bonus.

The suction is good, but I am not sure it is worth the price compared to other versions of the same thing. We used to sweep and use a $30 handheld for the piles of crumbs and that seemed just as good or better.

It's tiring. Also a little heavier than I expected. It cleans well though and I love not dragging a cannister-type around. Not sure I'd buy it again. Maybe look for a different upright vacuum.
