I was so excited to get this vacuum because I only ever hear great things about Dyson. I was so disappointed in this. I have pets and a toddler, so I need something that picks up the hair and the snacks. It was great with picking up hair and tiny bits of messes. However, I found that it was a struggle just to pick up pieces of pet food. I couldn’t simply run the vacuum over it, but had to lift the vacuum and place it juuuust right over what it needed to pick up. Dog food, pieces of pretzels, pieces of crackers, etc. were horrible to try to pick up. After this, I’m glad I didn’t get rid of my Shark vacuum.

Decent vacuum for quickly cleaning rugs and carpets. I do not own many rugs and only have one room with carpet in it so having a cordless vacuum that doesn't take a lot of space is quite nice. I wish the canister was a tad larger, but overall quite happy.

Since we have animals this was a must. Quick and easy to pick off the wall, quick clean up and return. While this has many purposes for cleaning it's definitely a quick job unit. The battery lasts as expected... short. But that's what it's for not for cleaning the whole house. Great buy!

Omg!!! I’ve always wanted to buy a stain vacuum so I finally purchased one and OMG I love it. It works so freaking good, I use it everyday but I just love it. If you’re skeptical, don’t be. Best thing I’ve purchased !!!!! I’m not someone who buys expensive things but this is so worth it

Yhe only complaint is it struggles with thicker rugs.

After 2.5 years of using this product, the battery only last 3 minutes. The dust collector gets clogged easily, hair gets wrapped up on the bristles, and the battery life went downhill very quickly. Get a competitors vacuum. This one is all brand and no substance. Much happier with my Shark vacuum now.

Very disappointed in this vacuum, especially for a Dyson. I have mostly hardwood floors and a few large area rugs that are basic in terms of material and cleaning/maintaining. Vacuuming the hardwood floors, the suction is so bad it takes three times going over to get the simplest amount of crumbs. Using the wand part of the vacuum is the worst of all. The air coming out of the motor is so strong it blows everything before the lack of suction from arm has any chance to suck it up. I wanted to see if it was really getting anything up from the rugs so I used my old 25 year old eureka vacuum over the same rug I just used twice with the Dyson v8 and saw the eureka not only sucked up everything the Dyson missed but had MORE crap in the dust tank. Dyson was better before opening plants in Singapore and china in 2002. Don’t waste your money

I love my V8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum because it is so easy to use. I clean sofas, stairs, tables, and all kind of floors; it also picks up all the hair from my pets. I can use for 30 minutes constantly before I have to charge it again. And I just empty the container and it looks clean again.

I have a Dyson V-6 and can not survive without it. I loved my new V-8 and really recommend it. So much more silence and more time working. Also different accessories. Just one thing that Dyson could improve: allow the accessories work in all cord less generations.

For this vacuum works good for 20 minutes and u need to charge this again for another 3-4 hours , so i problaby return this.. But if i keep it, now im know this vacuum works only for quick cleaning , no for a full house cleaning

Great cordless vacuum with a lot of accessories for multiple purposes. Has been really great for cleaning the car and for cleaning the stairs. The stand/accessory holder is great, but I wish it held more of the accessories. Great battery life and suction so far as well :)

Vacuum the easy way...for many years we have been using the conventional vacuum cleaner but just recently we decided to try the dyson vacuum rechargeable ( cordless ). This new vacuum system for us is effortless to use, we really are glad that we bought it.
