I don’t have pets so I can’t reference the pet hair questions however it does have 2 settings if you need more power in some areas. The only thing I didn’t like about it was a Dyson issue not a Best Buy issue, they pulled an Apple so the attachments which aren’t cheap that I bought for my old Dyson do not fit on the new one.... same with the plug I had to re hang it more holes on the wall.
