Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're having battery trouble after just a few months of use. That's very unexpected to hear. Your machine offers two suction modes - regular and MAX. Right out of the box, the machine is going to be set to MAX. This mode provides a boost of suction making it ideal for larger messes or more stubborn debris. This mode does give less run time - about 7 minutes or so. Regular power, which should be sufficient for everyday cleaning, will give you up to 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using the motorized floor tool.

Good but overpriced

The filter didn’t last more than a week without needing to be replaced, the battery life isn’t great either. Full power will absolutely kill the battery which never allowed me to vacuum my entire 1 bedroom apartment in one charge.

Our cord-free models are the lightest machines that we offer, with this model coming in at 5.8 pounds, with both the floor tool and wand attached. This model comes with both standard and MAX power modes. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using.
