I have a dog and I like the beater handheld brush.. But In order to work correctly I had it on high speed and the battery runs out after 8 mins or so. I’m going to keep it as I bought it on sale.. but wouldn’t recommend this

The powerful direct-drive cleanerhead removes ground-in dirt and pet hair from carpets, and self-adjusts to pick up dirt and debris from your bare floors.
Dyson V8 Animal also features two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. Also, while many do use Dyson cordless machines as their main vacuum at home, if you prefer a longer run time, we’d recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models.
