    It is ok. I should have bought the more expensive kind. It doesnt do great with sand. It does get the pet hair though. I feel like for the cost, it should be better.

    Battery doesnt last

    I should have stuck with the full size wired vacuum. This one doesnt last that long before needing a recharge. Its not easy to reach high places

    Battery sucks more than the vaccuum

    Bought this model because it was newer. Thought was that the battery charge would last however, after a few months the charge vrs usage gets shorter and shorter as time goes. Now we are lucky to get a full minute or two out of a charge. Doesn't matter how long it's been on the charger. The batteries are trash on the Dyson's. Other than the battery issues it's a good product. Too bad I can't use it that often.

      Hello, this is Summer with Dyson. We're so sorry to hear that you are experiencing low run times with your V8. Your Dyson V8 cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

    Awful battery life. I've had this vacuum less than a year and its pretty much impossible to use. It started going bad within 60 days.

    210 minute charge time to get 12 minutes of vacuuming. Such a let down especially when the specs say 40 minutes of run time. Thats what i get for spening $500 just for the name.

    Cordless vacuum

    I didnt like cordless vacuum. Battery time is too short using it on high power. I felt it was not user friendly when it came to emptying the container too. Corded vacuums are way better product.

    Extremely useful and versatile vacuum

    Very pleased with this vacuum! It is cordless, has eliminated my issue of plugging and unplugging a vacuum each time I change rooms, and getting tangled up in the cord! This vacuum is powerful enough to get through all, if not most, of the upstairs; the charge (when on high power) lasts approximately 20 minutes. It can also get under the couch, bed, dining table and coffee table. I can also vacuum the car easily! Easy to maneuver due to its light weight and low profile! IF I were to change one thing, I would simply give it a slightly larger battery to last a few more minutes.

    The vacuum works it's easy to use. However I don't I give it 3 stars because the battery life is less to be desired. I have actually gotten at least one hour of use total from this device.

    Not the right vacuum for my needs

    It didn't clean very well. I had to empty the canister too often. I have pets and it was not up to the job in a house. Maybe an apartment.

    Not happy for the money they cost, not worth it. Had motor replaced and it hesitate, very annoying.

    I’ve been wanting a Dyson for a long time and thanks to the sale I finally bought one. I love this vacuum. It has made vacuuming so much easier especially the stairs. My husband used it to vacuum his car and loved it. I use it mostly for the downstairs area of my house and use it on high power. I get it fully charged and by the time I finish the downstairs area the charge has dropped down one notch. So I try to keep it charged I’m between use as to not have to worry about the charge going out during vacuuming. It is definitely lightweight and amazing.

    Not made like they used to. My older DYSON stick had more suction, a better opening dust canister and a bigger dirt canister.

    Love love love the suction power!! However the longest the battery has lasted is 12 minutes. It takes quite a while to charge

    I have owned this vacuum since February 2024, I wish I would have returned it right away. Have had nothing but problems with this vacuum, from not picking up to battery going out. I only use this on our tile floors downstairs so not alot. This would have to be my biggest purchase regret I have ever made. I have a cheap $85 Amazon vacuum that I use that works better.

    I’m pleased with the vacuum on tile. I don’t like the suction on carpet, seems to clog a lot, holding the trigger for more than one room makes my hand hurt, taking the canister off to empty.

    It is a nice little thing for pick up. It works well. My issue is that the battery runs out too fast. I do not like that.

    Doesn’t have a trigger hold button. Once you release vacuum trigger vacuum stop running. Also, because the vacuum is top heavy, you must lay it down if you need to move furniture etc.

      Hello Bernard, this is Kelly with Dyson. I can confirm our V8 cord-free vacuum does not have a lever or lock on the trigger, to hold that in place while you vacuum. This machine does have our light-touch trigger, and you will need to hold the trigger down to provide power to the motor.
