Bummed - weak battery

That kills it for me. I bought one for 1/2 the price and the battery lasts 40 min. This one lasts 15 max!

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

I love this stick vacuum

I've owned uprights from Dyson for as long as I can remember and loved them. I tried other brands but nothing compared to a Dyson. I can confidently say that the stick vacuum is just as good if not better. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the battery life and how I wished I had purchased the V10 model. But that was my mistake.

Doesn't feel like a house vacumm instead more for like a car and small space. Definitely not good for carpet which was a huge disappointment.

Problem is battery life Wouldn't it be best if they made a battery that you can switch out so you can continue cleaning while the other one charges! Plus it takes like 4 hours to fully charge and you cant use it while its plugged in!! Just bought one from amazon that feels like a dyson and also battery lasts around 50 min and can switch the battery.

This is totally unacceptable for such an expensive item. I would not recommend this item especially if you have a large home.

Fun vacuum

It’s kind of fun using it, even my husband uses it regularly. We have a Bernese mountain dog so there is always hair that needs to be vacuumed. Not having to plug in a cord is a game changer, we just grab the cordless Dyson. Picks up dirt & hair from hardwood & carpet well. Wish it held a charge a little longer, I would consider getting the v10 if I ever need to replace this one since it holds a longer charge.

I've never overfilled the bin and have followed all maintenance directions. Dyson said they'll exchange it but it'll take at least a month, and I have to bear the expense of shipping the defective one back to them, not to mention I'll be without a vacuum for a month or more. Not all it's cracked up to be. Save your money.
