Posted .Hello Leiska, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

I wanted to buy a corded one instead but stuck with what I got. I will not return to Best Buy anymore.

Now the battery does not hold a charge anymore. For the amount of money I paid for the vacuum, I expect the length of use is much more than just over a year.

Insane! I also lost a large brown rubber ban the first time I used it from somewhere in the vacuum. We will see what "broke"... Awful to use to vacuum under a bed...

Sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t work at all. Best Buy isn’t helping so I have try to resolve it with dyson directly.

Holding the switch in order to stay on is very tiring plus it blows the air out of filter and its a NO for me. Also, the maximum time it stays on is less than 10 minutes when is advertised for 40 minutes. I returned this vacuum.
