I believe it cut my vacuum time in half, even when using the many attachments. No cords and no heavy machine to tug around! I can vacuum approximately 1200 S.F. and empty the canister once (probably because I vacuum at least twice a week). I have one long hair cat and the stick picks up all dander and hair, from everywhere! It's easy to clean and it's stored on the charger on my laundry room wall, which is a real value and space saver!

It has two levels of suction and will easily pick up everything. We have two cats and it truly is great. The fur can't stop the roller brush.

Dyson V8 is the best

I’m coming from another stick Dyson which I have NEVER ran out of battery. This one I can’t vacuum more than my sofa with the upholstery attachment without it dying. After recharging for an hour and a half, it died after ONE hallway about 15 feet long!

Not as good as the V10

I ended up switching it out. It went on sale and it ended up being the same price. The V10 pro runs for 60 minutes and has better suction than the V8

Just wish it had an on off switch and you didn’t have to hold the power button the whole time you use it. Don’t buy I’d have hand or arthritis’s issues

Battery lasts long enough for us to do two bedrooms and landing area. Love that it doesn't have a cord!

Doesn't stay powered up long enough...Dyson needs to get power packs so that one can charge while the other is being used.

I am pleased to hear you are satisfied with how well it picks up and the ease of emptying the contents. The V8 is advertised to get 7 minutes in MAX mode for tougher jobs. 25 minutes in standard mode with the motorized cleaner head attached and 30 minutes with the soft roller cleanerhead or mini motorized tool attached. 40 minutes for any other tool.
