    Not good for heavy duty, I figured the “animal” one would be best for pet hair but it was not. The filter didn’t last more than a week without needing to be replaced, the battery life isn’t great either. Full power will absolutely kill the battery which never allowed me to vacuum my entire 1 bedroom apartment in one charge.

    Good Vacuum but way too expensive for the battery life and the performance I recommend a high end Bissel instead save the extra cheese

      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V8 Animal cordless is a hassle-free vacuum with powerful suction. The powerful direct-drive cleaner head removes ground-in dirt and pet hair from carpets, and self-adjusts to pick up dirt and debris from your bare floors.  

      Dyson V8 Animal also features two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. Also, while many do use Dyson cordless machines as their main vacuum at home, if you prefer a longer run time, we’d recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models.

    Great vacuum and easy to manage. The vacuum works perfect and charge fast. The battery of the vacuum can works for approximately one hour with one charge.

    The negative things is the battery discharges quickly and takes hours to charge up. But I don't have a huge place to vacuum so it's fine for me.

      Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for writing your review on the Dyson V8 Animal Cordless vacuum. Dyson V8 vacuums have a run time of up to 40 minutes, when used in standard power mode. On MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. When the battery is completely depleted, re-charge time is about 5 hours.
