      Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We appreciate you taking the time to share this with us. Your machine does offer two powerful modes of suction; MAX and regular. MAX is intended for those hard to tackle messes, where a boost of suction might be needed. This mode provides about 7 minutes of run time. In regular mode, run time is up to 40 minutes (30 when using a motorized attachment). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product.     Bought my Dyson and loved it for a year and a half, then it wouldn’t charge and started acting funny. For that much money you’d think they would last longer. Meanwhile the shark I bought at the same time is still working and performs better than the Dyson. Sorry Dyson, I’m not buying your products anymore.

    These are expensive toys that fall apart when warranty expires. I’ve owned 2 Dyson vacuums. The V8 was great for 13 months and its out of warranty so time to throw away! I’ve had vacuums last 20 years but these are cheap plastic with a lot of advertising BS. I learned my lesson.

They are tough, so we subject them to hours of testing, including drop and impact tests.     I was so hopeful this would help me with quick cleaning while struggling with back issues. This machine while light would never hold a charge. Did not get to use is more than a couple of times. Sadly a waste of money!
