BUT emptying the dust bin and then closing it is complicated. Open by pulling up on the red handle. The entire motor comes up and then the bottom of the bin opens. You MUST push the moror down THEN close the door to the dust bin. Do it any other way and everything is stuck. Of course I received zero directions about this with the package.

Great for quick-hit jobs and stairs. My wife gets carried away sometimes and tries to do the entire (large) house. She can't quite get it done on a single charge, but that's not really what this vacuum is designed for. If you can get past the price, you won't regret it.
