Since then I have gone through several other vacuums that lose their suction after a few use. But not Dyson, it is a great vacuum that is worth its value. If you are on the fence, buy one, try it, and you will fall in love with it.

Battery life is horrible.

The battery doesnt last. I can maybe get one room done on the battery. It’s great on dog hair but any dirt or anything else it ends up pushing around.

The V8 is not as powerful as the Ball, but it is almost on par with the hyper full power switch. It is also light weight and easy to move around, it have been our go to vacuum for small job clean up.

Battery life isn’t that great, no trigger lock for continuous power on, have to hold trigger while using. Too pricey for what you get!

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). Bad Experience

December 25, 2023 I used the website to diagnostic that the battery pack was faulty. I called Dyson the next day. Waiting time was much too long. A spare battery has finally shipped yesterday and I will not see it before January 5, 2023. For a brand new unit this isn't good service. I see nickel and dime having propriety to reputation.

This definitely has the new car smell so to speak. Amazing performance. Just make sure that if you are using on hardwood floors take the time and buy the hardwood floor attachment as well. You will not be disappointed.

The battery only lasts 25 minutes

If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it, my mistake I didn't ask.

Posted .Hi Oscar, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with the run time that your V8 Animal provides. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. This product has to be the best thing that I have purchased and used for the clean up of dog hairs. Definitely recommend purchasing this if you have animals.

Quick and easy to pick off the wall, quick clean up and return. While this has many purposes for cleaning it's definitely a quick job unit. The battery lasts as expected... short. But that's what it's for not for cleaning the whole house. Great buy!
