I had to keep pressing and releasing the power button to get it to go again and then it would stop again. Initially, I thought it was the surface, but I tried it on every different type of flooring and it repeated the same issue.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing short run times from your Dyson V8 Animal. Your machine offers two suction modes; MAX which the machine will be set to right out of the box, and standard suction. MAX is designed to provide a boost of power for more stubborn messes or larger debris. This mode will give you about 7 minutes of run time. If you slide the slider over to the other mode of suction, on a full charge you should get up to 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using a motorized tool.
