The one thing I don't like about it is the fact you have to hold the button down the entire time you are vacuuming. It does not have a switch that you can turn the machine on/off. Dysan customer support is good.

Especially their customer service when the battery needs to be replaced. The only reason why I bought this one is because I ran over the other one.

Wish the front rollers would not be too big so it can reach u see the fridge & stove area, but otherwise a great cleaner.

After my first appointment was canceled with short notice, a subsequent appointment was not for another 10 days. A third party service arrived and after 3 minutes in the house told me they could do nothing. I am contesting the charge and still have not had a service call after visiting store 3 times.

Posted .Hello Jenn, this is Kelly with Dyson. We are sorry to hear that you're not having a better experience with your Dyson V8 Animal. Dyson V8 vacuums have a run time of up to 40 minutes, when used in standard power mode. On MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. You may be interested to know that the new Dyson Cyclone V10 models have an advertised run time of up to 60 minutes, which is our longest run time to date.

Handy vacuum

It definitely gets the job done and I appreciate the HEPA filter so I know I'm not breathing in my dog's dander while vacuuming up all the pet hair. I took one star off because it's noticeably less powerful than my Dyson upright, which works much better in carpeted areas.
