However the battery life is atrocious! After a full charge (4 hours) it only last about 7-8 minutes before completely dead. Couldnt even vacuum my entire house before dying. Completed my stairs and had to recharge to do the reset of the house.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). With two long haired pets and many oriental rugs, a powerful machine was a must. This vacuum actually made my rugs look new~! Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend.

I do like the feature that you do not need to unattached base from canister to empty. To me this model works just as good as the more expensive Dyson model.

I only wish it had a green light at the bottom and that you could lock the trigger so it would stay on while vacuuming. But Ive had several other vacuums which were garbage and i would definitely buy this brand again!
