I love everything about my Dyson V8 Motorhead Origin Vacuum. It has two modes of power, Max Mode and Powerful. The Powerful mode works great for vacuuming my whole house. When I need a little extra suction the Max Mode is great! This vacuum picks up everything. I like that it is so lightweight and portable. It comes with three main parts, they all click and unclick together so easily. I love that there is a charging base that they all hook up into. This vacuum does not take long to charge at all. When fully charged I can vacuum my entire house. If I use Max Mode then the charge lasts about 8 minutes. The head of this cleaner swivels which makes vacuuming so much easier. I love that it is bagless. With a simple click of a button, I can empty the canister into the trash bin. It comes with accessories such as an upholstery brush. This vacuum has made vacuuming effortless.

I would buy the Dyson 6 any day versus the more expensive Dyson 8. I spent the extra money on the 8 and the 6 has a larger dirt cup capacity, has more suction power, & the battery lasts longer. The 8 has the “laser light” which is advantageous so u can see the dirt; but that only works on non carpet surfaces. (& truth be told the carpet attachment is the one with more suction power & we use that on all floors most of the time.) The 6 is less expensive, has less attachments (all that you will actually need- so you won’t have a bunch of other attachments with no where to store them;) and is an overall better performer. I own both models; my house is huge - mostly hard wood and tile; Berber carpet in my bedrooms; and I have 3 dogs. TRUST ME!

Lightweight, easy to use, clean, all attachments you need, strong, ample battery life for an apartment or small house.

The vacumm is excelent for our home. We noticed that once we have used it we need to wait for the battery to cool down for it to be charged. That may be a reason someone might not like it but I place it against my wall and charge it later in the day. My home is small so the battery life is not an issue. I like that it has no wire and that I do not have to worry about running it over it with the vacuum. So far we have it for 1 year and it is in a great condition.

I bought this without much thought as Dyson is supposed to be a good product/well-engineered. It is rated well by consumer reports, etc. Good: It is lightweight. Easy to empty. Gets under furniture. Good filters; do not let dust back into the air. Charges relatively quickly. Lots of useful attachments. Bad: The hand grip is too small. I am not a large-handed man, but it is a fairly tight squeeze and not a comfortable design. There are no lights on the front; low-angle lights make it easier to see the dirt you need to vacuum. I have never owned a vacuum without lights, and I hate it! There is a very slim opening in the front, and most debris thicker than a cheerio will get pushed around. You then lift and set the vacuum on it, and you can vacuum it up. You can only pick up dirt going forward. I think this is intentional, as not to let dirt fly out from behind it, but it is pretty annoying, and an easy fix. It has been a little over a year and the battery is starting to go. No longer can I vacuum our small house (wood floors) without it dying. Put it in max suction mode and it lasts maybe 2 minutes. I would not purchase it again.

This is such an excellent product! Light weight, easy to bring anywhere in the home, and with the different attachments you can get all the nooks and crannies and pick up all the animal hair! It’s easy to hang on the mount and easy to take off! It’s so easy to empty and clean! I even just bought one for my mom for Christmas because it will be so much easier than a traditional, heavy, plug in vacuum! I would recommend this product to everyone!

Dyson is known for innovation and the Dyson v8 Animal lives up to the history of innovation at Dyson. We've owned three generations of the full-size Dyson vacuum cleaners and honestly wouldn't consider any other brand at this time. While we'll likely continue to use the full-size Dyson for most of the cleaning in the home, the Dyson v8 cord-free vacuum really comes into it's own when getting to more challenging areas of the home or outside in the car. The Dyson v8 arrived partially charged although you'll want to charge it fully before using it beyond just checking it out for a few moments. As with other vacuum cleaners by Dyson, the v8 Animal comes with an assortment of attachments that make it truly versatile. The box suggests that the v8 Animal will provide 40 minutes of "fade-free" suction and it appears to deliver on this promise. As with other Dyson vacuum cleaners, the suction does not disappoint. It will easily clean the most challenging areas of your home or office and I only wish I'd bought one of these sooner!

Amazing handheld vacuum. It is extremely light but has more power than all the robot vacuums my wife wanted for the house. In fact she is now asking for one for home. This was purchased for my office. Love the way it tilts helping to get everywhere. Dislike the battery life; however, this wasn’t purchased as primary vacuum so that isn’t a big deal. Also the process to empty the bin is a little odd but that might be user error.

I bought it about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I have hardwood floors , I have a dog so it is so easy to use and clean up efficiently. I wish I had got one sooner. It is the best investment I’ve made, my only issue is that it doesn’t light up. It works well picks up the dog hairs, gentle in our carpet beds and our floors. I’m truly happy with the performance, although I wish it did have the green light that makes a big difference. I did buy an attachment from Amazon that I stick to the sides, but it’s not exactly the same But overall very happy with the Dyson. It’s easy to use. It’s not heavy. It’s easy to keep clean and the battery time works well.

Awesome vacuum for a small space. House is only about half carpet, so I love the versatility to move it around. Dies super fast. Like insanely fast. Hate to deduct a star for that but it is inconvenient. Would be perfect with a superior battery! Other than that, sucking power is really good. We have long ish carpet and I feel like it does a good job getting human and dog hair up. Maybe not as great as a super high end vacuum but it serves its purpose being lightweight and movable.

I love how easy it is to use and menuever. Its light weight and has a powerful suction. However, its battery can’t handle a full day of cleaning, hardly half a day. I’ve heard there is aftermarket batteries that can replace the one that comes with it, but those have potential safety hazards. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase.

This is the third Dyson V8 vacuum I have had in two years. Thankfully I have gotten a geek squad protection. Each Dyson V8 that quit working, Best Buy replaced with a new one as I said with my geek squad protection. The hassle is having to buy a new protection plan every time the Dyson V8 quits working. I originally got it on sale so I only have to pay about $75 each time for the three-year protection plan. When it works, it’s an unbelievable vacuum. By far the best vacuum we have ever had. Lightweight, easy to maneuver, good battery life for it’s size and weight. Extremely high suction. If Dyson can figure out the issues with longevity of the vacuum working properly, would be a definite five star.

I have long been a Dyson enthusiast. We have or have given as presents, multiple Dyson Air purifiers, upright vacuums and Cordless vacuums to family and friends. They are all quality built machines that work year in and out to help you keep your home clean! This Dyson V8 is the newest edition to our family cleaning arsenal and per my wife it is wonderful! I use a Dyson V11 upstairs but my wife wanted a lighter version so I go her the Dyson V8 for use downstairs and on the stairs! It is used primarily for quick pickups and for keeping the staircase clean and it does all of that with ease. Powerful? Yup! Light and easy to manage? Yup! Did I mention how powerful it is? It really is! And the attachments make clean so much easier, believe me. I cannot sing the praises of Dyson's V8 enough. My wife is happy and that is important to me! Thank you!

Lifechanging. There is no substitute. Sure, the battery could last a bit longer but plan ahead and you'll be more than satisfied with the suction, portability and ease of use with (at least for me) zero maintenance. Note: I purchased two of these during the holiday season from BB for $350 each. You generally don't see that type of reduction and price on Dyson. Couldn't pass it up. Separate comment on quality. My first Dyson (purchased approx. 10 yrs. ago) still works like new. I'm embarrassed to say I've never performed any recommended maintenance on it... Nor have needed to replace any parts. Charge it and go. Empty. Charge and go. Lastly it charges relatively quick (about an hour).

This is an amazing product. It is such a light and efficient vacuum. I love it and it is easy to use. It gets all of the difficult spots around my house. I highly recommend this vacuum!!!

Picks up dirt I did not even know was there. Has two suction strengths which works well to switch between carpet and hardwood floors. Floor attachment has blades to cut up any hair to prevent it getting clogged in the vacuum. Lightweight and easy to use!! Can charge it anywhere!

This vacuum has a lot of power, especially for the stick style. Great attachments and I like the wall charging port. Easy empty feature is nice. I have three pets and this is great for cleaning up hair.

Everything about this product is amazing with a house of 4 2 kids and 2 adults it can pick up just about anything. Amazing air flow picks easy to dump the waste and go back to even more cleaning. I love that it is wireless so i can go anywhere with it like car and other locations unlike other platforms like this one amazing on pet hair removal as well.
