Customers are saying
Customers praise the impressive suction power, fantastic ease of use, and lightweight, cordless design, which contribute to its great overall performance and useful attachments. However, a significant concern for many is the battery life, which customers feel could be better. Other drawbacks include its steep price, noise level on hard floors, small dustbin, and less effective carpet cleaning.

I love this stick vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a new convert to stick vacuums after purchasing the Dyson V8. I've owned uprights from Dyson for as long as I can remember and loved them. I tried other brands but nothing compared to a Dyson. I can confidently say that the stick vacuum is just as good if not better. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the battery life and how I wished I had purchased the V10 model. But that was my mistake.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something to use for quick clean ups without having to drag out my big Dyson. This is perfect and way better than using a swiffer that misses most of the corners.

Bummed - weak battery
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In would rate this product higher if the battery didn’t die so quickly. That kills it for me. I bought one for 1/2 the price and the battery lasts 40 min. This one lasts 15 max!

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.
Best wishes,
Kelly

It can be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked it!! Problem is battery life Wouldn't it be best if they made a battery that you can switch out so you can continue cleaning while the other one charges! Plus it takes like 4 hours to fully charge and you cant use it while its plugged in!! Just bought one from amazon that feels like a dyson and also battery lasts around 50 min and can switch the battery.

Posted .Hi there, this is Tia with Dyson. We're sorry to learn that you're not having a 5-star experience with your Dyson V8. It's recommended that you operate the machine on the standard power mode vs max mode to get the longest running time, up to 40 minutes on a full charge.
Also, we would value the opportunity to learn more about your experience as we're committed to customer satisfaction and want to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Please feel free to email askdysonUS@dyson.com and we are happy to provide you with support.
