    I absolutely love the V8 Animal. After trying a friend's V6 Motörhead I decided to wait bc I didn't like the run time, the noise or the fact that trash got stuck in the bin. The Animal fixed all those problems. The 40-minute run time is great. Long enough to take care of my cleaning needs, plus some (and I'm borderline OCD). The suction is great on normal speed so I only used the max speed once. It's very quiet so you don't realize how much it's picking up until you look in the bin. Very impressive. I would have liked to pay a little less for it, $300 maybe, but I paid $500 only bc I hadn't seen the price decrease in the months I had been researching, so I looked at it as an investment. For that reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

    It's lightweight, picks up SO much dirt and hair, and is easy to maneuver. Only complaint is the run time vs. charge time.

    The new Dyson V8 is a great vacuum. The new motorhead is great on both carpet and hardwood. Long lasting battery for the size.
