Every marketing claim is actual fact as this tool gets everywhere you need it to get to in a handheld form. Best vacuum I’ve ever had and is a critical tool of my residence’s cleanliness. Sure the power consumption when at max setting is mere minutes, but be sure to plan for this when cleaning and it’s not a problem. The accessories included make it a go-to tool for all vacuuming needs. Glad this is my first Dyson product, will not be my last.

Being on sale makes it a lot better. Having Best Buy Rewards makes it fantastic.I owned a Dyson V7 Animal Cord Free Stick Vacuum and after almost two years, the machine wouldn't start and was considered broken. I sent it back to a different vender and now I own a V^*. The vacuum is more powerful and it works great. I highly recommend this stick. Hopefully, it will last more than 2 years. I did purchase a warranty for the machine which covers the battery.

The suction on this vacuum is fantastic, I have two cats and you wouldnt know it, and the battery is perfect for my small apartment. If you have a big house, I would recommend a larger Dyson. Mine came with 4 attachments. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

I have had it for a few years, first in my apartment and then in my house! I will always have a Dyson in the house! It is great for hardwood and carpet. It is the best of both worlds!

Great suction and easy to use.

It's easily maneuvered into corners and around objects. I love the Hand held, Power Stair attatchment. I couldn't give this a "5 star" rating because the wand head is too tall to go under a lot of furniture and the "canister emptying process" is awkward and messy. Worth the money.

If they made to change batteries efficiently I would like it more. It also takes to long to charge the battery. It is a nice vacuum but you can only clean with it for like 20 minutes and the battery is dead. Maybe the V12 is a lot better
