I never thought I’d be the kind of person to get emotional about a vacuum, but here we are. In the divorce, I lost custody of the Dyson cordless (among other things), and let me tell you, that was the real heartbreak. First purchase in my new place? This beauty. It’s lightweight, it’s sleek, and the suction power is so strong it picked up the crumbs of my past and the dust bunnies of my future. It even charges on the wall like it’s hanging out, ready for round two of “who’s really thriving now?” If you’re starting fresh, skip the rebound and go straight for this vacuum.

This is the best vacuum and I love that its cord free, but the battery does drain quickly. You can’t plug it in and use it at the same time. Don’t expect to vacuum an entire 4 bedroom house on 1 charge. Other than that, its great if you have pets.

This Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum is easy to use, battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum several rooms and is powerful enough. This is the second one, same model, I’ve purchased. The first one about five years.

Made an amazing house warming gift for my daughter and her new husbands first home! They actually race to see who gets to their new dyson vacuum first. Their dyson picks up after cat hair with ease, works amazing on crpet and hard wood floors and keeps their fabric couches lookimg like new.

So lightweight yet powerful and I can get my entire house vacuumed without having to re-charge.

Love my Dyson! It makes cleaning so much easier! I was skeptical of the battery life, but it's never died on me. The product is light weight which helps when I'm vacuuming our three flights of stairs.

It works great but battery does eventually start to give out so run time isn’t as long.

Super light weight to carry between different levels of the house. Cleans really well and I love how it can bend 90 degrees to get the hard to reach places. My only complaint is that the battery doesn’t last very long.

As with all of Dyson hand vacuums, the V8 Plus is a powerful cleaning tool. It's light in weight, has long battery life, and really deep cleans my carpets, much more so than my older Dyson DC 6 Animal. Its a great product which I highly recommend.

I love the versatility of this product with all the different attachments. I also love how lightweight it is! The power on max is incredible - this thing does an amazing job on hardwood, carpet, and tile! I just wish the charge lasted a bit longer!

This is the second Dyson cordless I have purchased. The first was for me, this one was purchased for son and daughter-in-law. I use mine daily. I have several pets, I work in the yard year round, and leave the windows/doors open as much as possible consequently pet hair, dirt, and leaves. The cordless is light, powerful, and convenient. My daughter-in-law mentioned that she would like a vacuum like it. Great gift idea.

Love this vacuum! As a single dad of 3 kids under the age of 5, this thing is a life saver. So glad I chose to spend the money and get it. Quite frankly, I'll be looking to see what other accessories I can find.

not heavy, portable & powerful. comes with plenty of switchable tips / tools and they change with just one click. Had this vacuum for about 2 months and its working great, no loss of suction. just need to remember to wash the filter every other month.

This vacuum cleaner is a great purchase. The pros of this model by Dyson are the compact size of the vacuum, the myriad of attachments, the suction on max suction, the fact that it is cordless, and the weight. The cons, however, are the short battery life and the long charge time. There is a considerable difference between the two suction modes. The first mode, which makes the vacuum run for 40 minutes, barely has any suction. I find myself going over the same area twice. However now I just turn the knob to max suction which is more efficient and I find that this level is really powerful. I find the difference in these settings a little troubling. Also, the short battery life on this vacuum is terrible. My drone for instance, the Mavic Pro, has more watt-hours in the battery than there are on this Dyson. Also, the battery on my drone charges in a 1/5 of the time. Dyson has the room to make the battery accommodate about 15 more watt-hours and could redesign the charger so it charges in an hour and half. I guess that is the drawback when you have a cordless vacuum. The vacuum itself is less cumbersome but at the same time, you cannot vacuum indefinitely like you can with a cord vacuum.

The V8 was a really good vacuum. It is really easy to use and very light to use and vacune the whole house. It is very portable. Definitely recommend to people who are looking for easy and effective cleaning.

Don't hesitate. Buy this! Nice and light (I am like 105 lbs), so easy to use but its powerful and comes with many attachments. This battery lasts to finish our travel townhome with charge left. Which is completely the opposite of what the sales lady told my husband. He left the store, called home told me how she said it only lasts ten minutes and other stuff. I said get back and buy it. I had read tons of reviews. Called him back to tell him don't buy from her, but too late. Shouldn't be trying to stop you from buying something. Wasted our time. Love this! Took me about a week to actually decide to get it. But have not regretted it since! Very easy and light. I have a short haired bulldog that sheds like a dandelion, so hair everywhere IN EVERYTHING. It does a great job sucking up his hair. Also the no hair tangle feature, oh man i have long curly hair and have yet to have it get tangled- a freakin miracle!. I vacuum every day with this thing and love it. It doesn't work on area rugs but the little attachment will. I love this thing. Battery lifenis not longer, maybe 20 min on full power but on low power i can get almost 40. Can do two caprpeted smaller rooms and laminate on one charge. Some may get really irritated with battery life, but for me it works. And if you are doing other stuff you can charge and come back and finish up vacuuming.

Powerful vacuum that is well worth the price! I have wood floors and rugs that it works great on. I have two cats so the pet hair gets around fast but the vacuum offers a quick and easy cleanup.
