    Overall very good. Bought this to replace an older Dyson V7 with failing battery. It’s a worthy replacement with one more attachment than the V7 for animal hair. The V8 is very effective at removing dog hair from the one rug we have in the house and noticeably better at removing animal dog hair from the car, which the V7 barely touched. Only downside is that it’s a bit heavier, the trade off for better suction. Battery life is as advertised.

    Charges quickly, and keeps suction, has extra powerful mode, I don't use much. So light I use it everywhere. Heads change easily and stay secure

    I previously had one of these and finally after like 10 years I needed a new one.....I dropped it and the plastic clip broke so I had to really hold it together in order to use it..it still worked but I decided I wanted a new one. The new is really good and made better! The roller brush seems much better and it picks up a lot!!! I have pet hair and pets that bring in everything so it is working great. My only complaint is the charging time is not as long as my old one, it is too short1

    I also on a Dyson Red upright vacuum and I feel this outperforms it. I was debating on buying the preceding V6 Animal but pulled the trigger on the V8 after reading the reviews and investing on the newer, stronger product. No complaints here, longer run time than the V6. Great for small to medium jobs (I tend to run max suction, so possible to cover larger areas on normal suction). Went for the cordless as I really hate the hassle of setting up and putting away cords. Just don't forget to empty canister if doing a messy job as it does fill up quick due to its awesome suction.
